Original Support Pillow for Pregnancy, Postpartum, and Feeding (White Cotton) - Insert Only

Very very comfortable, i use it while nursing my little one along with the boppy pillow. Only wish it came with a cover because it looks so very bare. It had a funny odor. I put it out in the sun for a few days and it helped with the smell a little bit. It's too big for the washer. The pain in my lower back was bad enough to overlook the smell because it really does help support my back.

I saw a video review of this pillow and bought one (through warehouse deals) to see if it would help my aching back at work. It didn't work for me because every body is different and it just didn't fit me right. It is not made of memory foam, like I thought, and is instead made of very stiff foam. It smelled like egg crate foam and through the cover it felt like egg crate foam as well. It had almost no give at all; it really is designed to help you sit bolt upright. I found it to be way too wide and not only did it not fit in my office chair but it didn't fit in the director's chair that I have at my counter. When using it, I was pushed so far forward in my chair that I felt like I'd fall out and was using my legs to keep me pushed back, which was tiring and uncomfortable very quickly. In the right context with the right body type it would work well.The middle part is curved to fit the curve of your back, which is nice. On me though, I had to hike it several inches up from the base of the chair to get it to fit me. It is not one solid carved piece of foam, rather it is many smaller pieces glued together. It is well-made and solidly crafted. I felt it was a gimmicky pillow with a gimmicky price for what it is. I didn't hate it; it just didn't work for my body type. I recommend getting it open-box because it's a bit cheaper that way since it doesn't fit everybody equally.

I purchased this pillow 2 weeks after having a baby because i was having back pain. I really did not feel mucj support on the bed or sofa using this pillow. It is kind of short. With the price and additinal price you need to pay to purchase the cover seperately I did not think it was worth it so I returned it

I am not a nursing/pregnant woman. Instead, I am a retired woman, in my 60's, who spends a great deal of time sitting and doing needlework, crochet, embroidery and beading. The chair I use is a fairly comfortable armchair with a hassock I can put my feet up on, but the back is not ergonomic. I've struggled with piling pillows up to try to alleviate backaches, but this hasn't worked. I've looked and looked for the right back support. Most were too expensive or too big to fit my chair. Then, I discovered the Back Buddy. I received it a day before I expected it to arrive, which was nice. It came in the late afternoon and I decided to use it while sitting in bed watching a movie. After about two hours, I suddenly realized that the backache I had earlier was gone. Amazing! I've noticed that I almost have had to relearn how to sit correctly, but this pillow actually does that for you. It sort of molds you into a good sitting posture without even realizing it. I'm delighted and so impressed! It was so much more affordable than most of the professionally made ergonomic back supports. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it did not come with a removable cover. It has a fairly cheap cotton cover that does not come off and you have to buy the removable covers separately and they are pricey. I discovered that using a king size pillowcase and putting the Back Buddy in sideways works just fine. It will protect it with something that is washable. Disappointed because I have a really bad back--especially now after giving birth to my first--and I really wanted this to work! It just isn't the right shape for me at all. It felt like a bucket seat and I need the opposite. I'm sure for some it is the right shape and a good support but I have to send mine back.

I am so glad I purchased this and the pillow. It the most comfortable combination. The cover is soft with Bo shedding. The pillow has back support. It can be flipped and give u neck support watching your iPad or TV. I even use it as my sleep pillow. Love it, love it, love it! It's worth every penny!

Not good value for the money. It is ok and I will keep it but it would be better if it were taller. The height doesn't support my whole back which is important to me while breastfeeding. The other issue is that it does not come with a slip cover and doesn't state that it doesn't. Given the option of colors I assumed that it did come with one as usually a pillow on its own is not decorative. The big problem here is that the cotton cover on it is not removable, so if my daughter is sick while I feed her I can't put it in the washer I have to someway hand wash it and then I can't use it while it dries and if it happens numerous times it could cause a smell. This is my first child but I would have to say anything for new moms/infants like this should be able to be washed simply because it is likely it will be soiled. It is also very firm as several reviews make note of but I feel that's helpful for me. The case does seem cheaply made and it gives me pause on how long it will work for. My picture shows the sewn seem of the cotton cover that seems both cheap and impractical.

I'm newly postpartum and was looking for a good back support to use while nursing. This pillow is the best- extra firm, keeps you sitting up straight, & has great lumbar support. It's not made for reclining however, as it does position you pretty upright. My mom, who has horrible back problems & carries back pillows/support with her everywhere, also tried it and loved it too, so it's not just for nursing!
