I turned 65 and was struggling with getting big ugly bruises every time I got hit by a pickle ball or bumped into something. It was frustrating and I decided to try this because we eat a vegan diet and didn’t know if a plant based collagen would help. It didn’t take long for me to see a HUGE difference, in fact, I do not bruise at all anymore and felt I should come back here and write a review to help those struggling with the same issue!!! I cannot tell you how this changed my attitude about turning 65!!! 😍

Put me in the heck no camp. I wanted a collagen that wasn’t made from hooves, so this seemed like a good solution. I can take the chalky texture. It’s the taste that has me gagging. I don’t even have words to describe the flavor of unflavored. I’ve tried it in porridge, a smoothie, and with yogurt and berries. All three times, it took all of my willpower to finish the thing. I hate wasting money, but the other 25+ serving are going in the trash. I can’t imagine making myself eat something this revolting 25 more times.

I'm in the midst of switching over to a plant-based diet and was looking for alternatives to the collagen peptides I've been using. I found this and so far, so good! I tried mixing it alone with almond milk at first and, while it was drinkable...I understand what some of the other reviews mean about the taste. I now combine it with other seeds (hemp, flax) and a plant-based protein powder in an almond milk "shake" and I don't notice the taste at all! Just ordered my 2nd bag!

I don't know why there's so many negative reviews about this stuff. I guess it depends on what you're trying to mix it with. I mix a scoop with almond milk, pb powder and a banana and it taste good.

There are little options of vegan collagen peptide offered on Amazon. I was taking the Sunwarrior brand, but their packaging always involve big plastic bin. Finally, I’ve found Pure & Essential, and the product packaging involves less plastic. I also like that each serving has less powder.

The unflavored version, the only one I tried, tasted very bitter to me. Also, package did not say it was gluten free, even though product description here says it is. Worrisome.
