but it does not leave your clothes in perfect condition. I tried numerous items of different fabrics
Let's start with the disappointments.1. Based on the rating & reviews, I set my expectations too high. This is not a miraculous total wrinkle remover that will eliminate your need for an iron. It does remove many wrinkles, but it does not leave your clothes in perfect condition. I tried numerous items of different fabrics. Linen is a real toughie: this steamer made the item presentable but still in need of ironing. Cotton school uniform blouse: the steamer helped considerably and possibly acceptably to some, but I still took an iron to it after the steaming. The best fabric to respond to steaming was a silky polyester no-wrinkle (which was wrinkled none-the-less). With several passes I got all wrinkles out, and these were wrinkles an iron had not removed. Overall, I learned steaming requires NUMEROUS passes all over each item, steaming both front and back sides of the fabric. I learned to gently pull down, or stretch, the item while steaming. In other words, steaming takes time and repeated passes.2. Water capacity was an issue. I set out with numerous items to steam, but quickly found I could only steam 2, or possibly 3, pieces before needing to replenish the water. When the water level dropped too low, first the steamer unit needed to cool: no doubt for safety issues, the top spray attachment did not twist off while the steamer was hot. This means going thru the reheating process again. Time-wise, I would have been better off using my handy iron to simply press some of the clothes. Now the good points:1. The steamer did work on removing some wrinkles that my iron could not.2. This is a very handy travel item. What a quick and easy way to refresh any clothes wrinkled from being packed in luggage! This is why I actually purchased the steamer -- for travel.3. I liked the width and straight line of this appliance's steam release attachment. Just wide enough (any smaller would be awkward). Sure a bit wider might be nice, but not much wider.Considerations:1. Keep your iron as you'll still need it.2. Give consideration to where/how to use the steamer. I finally ended up in a bathroom and hung the items to be steamed on the back of the door or on the shower rod, depending on the item.

Works good.EXTREMELY HOT...be careful when using. Make sure no child or pet can get to this!
I purchased this steamer to replace my existing steamer (Shark Model G1460N) for travel on a cruise ship. I've learned from previous cruises, there are no irons on board and they are not allowed simply for the fire hazard, which I totally understand. I wanted something smaller or more compact than my existing steamer. But upon receiving this, they are not much different in size. This unit emits steam HOT and FAST as soon as you power up. It does take the wrinkles out fairly quick, at least on the cotton shirt I tried it on. The 3-star rating is for the operation of the top piece, and the length of "actual steaming time" on a full reservoir. The top piece is hard to lock in place and VERY HARD to unlock to refill, and the reservoir empties fairly quick, only enough to do one dress shirt.

No Real Complaints -- A Passing Grade
Works OK, but not wonderfully well. Water capacity is very small, and it takes at least one refill to touch up a newly laundered man's short sleeve shirt. Still, it is handy -- and it is very reasonably priced. Quality seems above average, but I haven't had it long enough to really tell whether it will endure. I didn't expect it to replace my iron or laundry for a truly well-pressed shirt, but it does adequately do the job for touching up an item worn briefly -- and, in a pinch, when I am too lazy to set up the ironing board (and you know the routine).

GOOD STEAM
The steaming itself is excellent - it heats up fast gives a good stream of steam and takes out wrinkles like I would have expected. But the hard part is turning the top piece on and off in order to fill the bottom Reservoir with water I find it very hard to turn sometimes once it locks in place to steam I have a hard time turning it to loosen it to remove it to pour out the excess water and to feel it again the next time I use it.

If it short circuits it can be dangerous! Beware
Worked for a few years actually. Just recently I noticed the plug heating up, then all of the sudden a big shock happened and the plug severed near the unit. It was extremely hot to the touch.

I got this as a lightning deal after my old steamer broke, it definitely does work, but I was expecting it to be bigger than it is. It is only the size of a travel coffee cup, so it's really only one or two shirts and then its done but the performance is great, which is what really matters in the end

It's alright!
The steamer did its job partially. The water would leak out unexpectedly on my shirts or couches. Often times I didn't feel that it was doing that good of a job.

Small but effective
I have used this steamer to remove wrinkles and as a refresher. It easily removes wrinkles; even crumpled forgotten about dryer clothes. In addition to its proper use, I use it as a refresher to eliminate odors between wears when you change clothes several times in a day. It's a great traveler size and fits easily in carry on. It holds somewhere between 1 1/2-2 cups of water. Would definitely recommend it.
