I tried making my own shampoo, several recipes. None of them were any good, my hair was dull and tangled and always too oily. I thought I would try this one and I love it. The scent is light and very pleasant. You can tell when you are rinsing your hair that it is not leaving a residue. My hair is very soft, manageable and not oily anymore. I have hair down to my waste so it's long! I also color my hair and so far it is not stripping the color as fast as the traditional shampoo does. it does lather, but it's not what your used to, don't let that fool you. I think you will be pleasantly surprised like I was! Try it & see for yourself!!!

I have really dry semi-wavy hair and this conditioner worked well only if I dumped half the bottle on my head. It works fine for my husband's short wavy hair, but not for my long hair. But, now I know I should never really expect a conditioner to do everything I want for my hair. It's just part of a routine that should include a leave-in conditioner, hair smoother serum, and a once-weekly deep conditioning hair masque. I like that Acure is responsible with their ingredients and doesn't include scary chemicals. I would urge them to make their packaging more environmentally friendly as well.Otherwise, good product.

I've bought 3 other ACURE shampoos and conditioners and there's a peel off aluminum seal that you have to remove by taking off the cap first. I bought both the shampoo and conditioner from Amazon LLC and they both just had a plastic seal around the caps. The labeling doesn't match the products from Whole Foods, meaning that the blue stripe goes way below where it should. I don't think these are legit ACURE products.

I wish my hair felt a little softer and de-tangled like other vegan products I've tried.

There’s a pretty strong underlying scent to this product…almost like glue? I didn’t enjoy it, especially not having it in my hair. My hair did not feel moisturized or smoothed afterwards, which is what I look for in a conditioner, especially one for curls. In fairness, I have wavy hair that is not colored, so maybe it just wasn’t the right product for me but I certainly will not purchase again.
