RUSH (City Lights Book 3)

Heartfelt original storyline!
After suffering the loss of her brother and let down by the man she loved, life is a struggle for Charlotte who has just graduated Juilliard but has lost her passion for the music, when a kindly elderly gentleman offers her a job as assistant to his Nephew Noah who has been left scarred and blinded by a horrific accident in pursuit of his adrenaline junkie career. Noah is not accepting of his disability and is rude and harsh in his misery and has become a bit of a recluse. This is a sweet story of a couple who lean on each other to find their way and fall in love. I'm glad the author didn't find it necessary to find Noah a miracle cure, that would have totally spoilt it for me.Apart from a few tiny silly things I really enjoyed this book and do recommend a read. Don't think I'll get the following novella, we know what happens, and I think we have sufficient information for a HEA, but I will look for more from this author.

Box of tissues good!!! ðŸ˜
I read the first few chapters at work on my lunch break, then when I got home I carried on and I was just blown away! By the time I got to the bit where Noah disappeared for the evening I was in pieces! Big old tears pouring down my face where I was so caught up in the emotion of the book! Even my husband was asking me why I was crying! Each word was wonderful and its been a while since I read something with such emotion! And I didnt want it to end, but it always does and how sweet that ending was! More tears!!! I shall be following this writer now. Great story!

Amazing 5* read!!
Wow, just freaking wow!Emma Scott, you are a literary bloody genius! I'm seriously struggling to find the words that will sum up how much I just absolutely adored this emotional, stunning & beautifully tragic story!I hope this is going to make sense..You know the difference between a book you're thoroughly hooked on, and a book you're simply reading? Well this book was different. With every chapter that passed and as the story developed, I wasn't just reading it, I was absorbing it. Feeling every emotion that the characters were going through. There's connecting with characters, then there's really experiencing them and their story. These types of books don't come around too often. This is seriously an exceptionally talented writer, to have the ability to temporarily change your reality, just amazing!I shan't go on and explain what happens in the book because I hate spoilers in reviews and you can see the synopsis, but I will say that it was incredible, one of the best I've ever read, and I cannot recommend it enough!Bravo Ms Scott, for an absolutely masterpiece!

Good read
Wow....that is pretty much the only way to start this review.Rush was an emotional gut punch of a story.2 characters so different and yet both suffering and lost in their respective grief brought together at a time when they each need it the most.A beautifully crafted and well written story Noah and Charlotte manage to be what the other needs without even realising it and their friendship and love gives them both a reason to accept what is and move forward to what could be.I will not hesitate to read this author again in the future.

that word pretty much sums up the whole story for me
Rush... that word pretty much sums up the whole story for me. It was such a rush.I fell completely in love with Noah from the get go, and that man weaved his way into my veins with each turn of the page. This story will grab you and it will rag you around the emotion pit. You will want to scream and curse. You will hold your breath for pages and then release it with a smile through others. Your heart will pound with ecstasy, with adrenaline and with fear and you will not put this book down until you have devoured every one of Emma Scott's gold-dripping words.A masterpiece, I believe. Another one.5 Stars.

A beautifully hopeful, heartfelt 5 star story.
I really enjoyed this book, it reminded me of Me Before You, with the bitter angry disabled young man, Noah, being cared for by the kind hearted, hopeful, downtrodden young beautiful girl, Charlotte, but this had a more optimistic feel.Noah has shut out the people from his life before the accident, unwilling to accept his limitations. Charlotte has lost herself to grief and doesn't know how to find her mojo again. Together they make things better, each finding strength in the other and moving forward at last. They suffer setbacks, and drama, and they set out on separate journeys to discover what they can achieve, before finding their way back together.

Wonderful.
A beautifully written book that kept me hooked, to the point where I was sad when it finished and bought Endless Possibility (an additional novella) straight afterwards. I find it hard reviewing in detail without giving away any story so I'll keep it simple, definitely no spoilers! It is a gorgeous romance with perfect love scenes, although they don't overpower the story. It was cleverly written from both main characters' points of view. The book gives some insight into how a person rebuilds their life after a terrible accident with the help of their lover and their own strength and determination. The descriptions were lovely and I loved both main characters, especially Noah. I would definitely recommend this book!
