I ride 6 miles to work twice a week. Before having these I suffered a blowout every other week from goat heads and other road debris. After installing them, I've had none. The cost of these is easily offset by the savings on tubes.

Run over whatever sharp thing you want with your HEAVY armored tires, because you probably won't feel like bunny-hopping much with the extra weight of these tire liners. More rotating weight also makes it more difficult to accelerate. This product is for enhanced durability, not enhanced performance.

So, I like in a suburban area and get frequent flats from debris on the roads. I bought these in the hopes of ending that. I put them in brand new tires with a brand new tube and got a flat on my second ride. And yes, I could mail the strip and the tube in for a replacement tube, but the cost of postage to do so is going to be at least as much as the cost of a new tube. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I've tried various tube flat stopping fillers, but for me not getting the flat in the first place is a better option. Since installing the Stop Flat 2's I've had no issue with my tires (even after several run in's with various goat heads and glass) I highly recommend them.

Riding in Hawaii there is a constant threat of Kiawe (Hawaii version of Mesquite) thorns - One ride got 4 flats within a 2 block distance - no exaggeration :( After installing these, no more flats :)Additional ounces are not noticeable - but aggravation saved is very noticeable, and appreciated.
