Change codes remotely!
Whew, FINALLY got this lock setup so that I can remotely change the codes! You have to get a zwave hub, I got the Samsung Smart Hub. One trick is when you are setting this up you have to have the hub within 6 feet of the lock. After it's all configured and working you can move the hub farther away. And you have to use the Samsung Classic app (it looks like a circle (for Android or Apple)) for it to work. If you use the new Samsung app it only lets you see the status of the lock and you can remotely lock or unlock the lock. The classic let's you see the status, remotely lock and unlock, change the codes, and gives you a history of when the lock was locked, either manually with the knob from inside or from the outside, and what code was used to unlock it. So far it has functioned flawlessly! It was just a bear to get it all configured. Schlage support was great in helping with the setup. I've recently changed out the right side locks to match the style and color of the locks.

Managing Schlage Connect with Wink App for Android via Wink Hub 2
I am VERY impressed with this Schlage Connect smart lock! Extremely quick and easy to install this replacement for my original Schlage manual deadbolt. My goal is to completely eliminate the need for keys by issuing separate codes to each family member and temporary codes to each person who needs access to our home and monitor when codes are used. So far, this looks like it is going to deliver with flying colors! As other reviews mention, this smart lock does make a loud mechanical noise much like a hotel room lock when locking or unlocking the deadbolt.I purchased the matching lower handle Schlage Camelot Front Entry Handle Accent Left-Handed Interior Lever (Aged Bronze) FE285 CAM 716 ACC LH to replace a Schlage locking doorknob. This lower handle is also Aged Bronze. It matched perfectly and looks great. If you have a second/separate locking doorknob, keep in mind that you need to replace with a non-locking doorknob or door handle so that you can't accidentally lock yourself out.I purchased the Wink Bright Smart Home Lighting Starter Kit with Wink Hub 2 and Sylvania Smart+ bulbs so that I could program the lock codes and view the lock activity from my Android phone. The Wink App for Android does a great job managing the Schlage Connect smart lock via this Z-Wave hub.Setup of the Schlage Connect smart lock in the Wink App was VERY simple. After I completed installation of the Schlage Connect smart lock and confirmed I could lock/unlock the deadbolt with the default user code, I went into the Wink App, added a new device, chose Schlage Connect, and followed the instructions including entering the 6-digit programming code that is printed on back of the Schlage lock AND on the Schlage installation instructions.I am impressed that the Wink App shows locked and unlocked status in near real time (less than a second delay) when I enter a code or manually turn the dial to lock or unlock. It is also very easy to manage user codes and code changes seem to take effect in near real time (within 1-2 seconds). When I enabled 6-digit user codes, the app warned it would clear all existing codes. Be aware that the app does NOT clear the two default 4-digit user codes.Using the Wink App to lock/unlock the Schlage Connect smart lock remotely is not 100% reliable and somewhat slow (3-5 second delay). If I slide to lock or unlock in the app, sometimes the app will timeout. So far, the app almost always works on the second attempt. The status shown in the app has always been accurate (e.g. if I unlock and nothing happens, the app still shows locked; if I unlock and the Schlage does unlock, the app shows unlocked).

It's been 8 months since I had this lock installed on my main entrance. I originally planned to utilize the smart lock feature with Alexa but couldn't quite see the benefits that would offer. I like that I can activate the auto lock feature and know that in 30 seconds the door will lock on its own. The locking/unlocking motion is rather loud but I've learned to appreciate that. I'm either alerted to someone entering or that I'm securely locked in. Since I'm old and now live alone I can give a code to my close family or friends and know that they can check on me if needed. It's a really good lock and I feel very secure. Even though I did not link it to a smart hub it is still a very convenient way to access my home. Not having to keep up with door keys is wonderful. The battery life seems really good. As I mentioned the lock was installed 8 months and the original batteries are still going strong. I just used Amazon brand batteries. The installation was a breeze. I hired someone experienced so it was an easy job for him. Changing codes and activating features is easy.

Did not recieve the advertised model
The lock that I received was not the model that was advertised. I have installed a lot of these locks and ordered this one specifically for the features of the advertised model. The advertised model shows the keypad with the painted numbers. The model that I received has the (very dim) lighted keypad. The location for this lock was going to be a house which has direct sun in the morning. For 6 to 8 hours a day, the numbers on this lock are totally invisible when the sun is shining on the keypad. I kept the lock since the price was very good. I have a couple of installations which have the good keypads but are in non-sun areas. When I get a chance, I will swap this lock with one of those. It's just a pain to have to unpair the lock and remove it and then re-program it with all new codes. Just a word of caution if you are considering the Schlage Connect. This is a very good lock in all ways except for the worthless lighted keypad.

Must have for home renovation
So glad I opted for this upgrade. This has been invaluable for coordinating with workers - just add a temporary code and people can let themselves in and out without having to give them keys. When the work is done, just delete the code. It's also super helpful for our teenage kids coming and going - no need to have hem carry keys.

Saves time and convenient
Works well with the Wink2 Hub and Alexa. I can check if the door is locked and lock the door with my voice. I set up notifications with the Wink2 hub Robots tab to keep track of door traffic. There was an yellow exclamation mark on the app. Quick fix was to unplug and reconnecting the battery. No other isssues.I now enjoy not having to look for my keys when I get home from work. Save me time and is convenient.

Work great so far
Work great so far. Make sure the slide engages as easily as possible to save battery life. Batteries are 98% after a month or two.
