works as intended.
Worked great and is pretty sturdy. I had the makerbot z18 and I hated it. Sold it shortly after. but the filament was fine. If you have the same model it fits in the little tray below perfectly

Great Filament, but a Bit Overpriced.
I picked this up to run in my MakerBot Replicator Mini, and MakerBot does a great job with their PLA filament to work in their printers. I can't report on how this PLA will print on other printers, but I assume it will be the same. Nice, uniform color and consistency throughout my print will little to no warping at 215 C. I have tried quite a few other brands of filament, and I can say that the MakerBot PLA is what I go for when I am looking for the easiest print. Unfortunately, MakerBot filament is largely over-priced, and is made to only be compatible with certain models of their own printers. The best part about owning a 3D printer is that you can print parts for it and upgrade it yourself, and I have printed parts to make my Rep Mini accept the larger 1KG spools of any brand of filament. Without that, the MakerBot filament is not only overpriced, but even more of a sham for making me only buy small spools for my printer. All in all, if you can stomach the price tag, then expect this filament to perform with little to no issue as long as the right print parameters are used.

Nice Filament!
This is really nice stuff. It's very flexible and durable and prints beautifully on a raft with my Qidi X-Pro at 230 degrees with a 40 degree bed temp. MakerBot sells a special head for this filament, but I'm just sending it through a standard steel nozzle. Prints better than ABS. I'll update if there are real-world durability issues as the parts I'm printing are prototypes that will be tested in an extreme outdoor environment.

Difficult to work with
So after many failed attempts, I finally started getting good prints with this filament. 1. I respooled the entire roll to get better winding. It's poorly wound around the spool. 2. I had to use a heated dry box to "prep" this filament for use. 3. I normally use a glass bed that never needs any assistance getting filament to stick. I had to coat my glass print bed with hairspray to get this to stick properly (Garnier Hair Care Fructis Style Volume Anti-Humidity Hairspray) 4. I set my extruder temp to 230 degrees C. Anything less and it won't melt enough and fast enough and WILL cause jams. The product description matches the higher working temperature (230) but Makerbot's documentation in this same listing shows 215 which resulted in many jams. When is does print properly, it's great. It's smooth and a fantastic shape of white. However, I've trashed more of this filament in failed prints than any other filaments I've purchased (including brands I've never heard of). As this is my first roll of Makerbot filament, I don't know if what is listed here (or what I received) is authentic or not. Regardless, I won't be ordering more because I don't want to waste another roughly $40 USD.

Flawless filament that needs to be on the old 1kg spool.
What's not to say, MakerBot PLA Filament just works perfectly. Great opaque pigmentation, use at 230C temp indicated. My only minor complaint, is spool size only being reduced, while I know they did this for the Rep5G. I prefer the larger 1 kg spool, which is why MakerBot filament on the 900g spools is not my primary filament. I don't mind the price diff, however I do larger prints (200g+) and the slightly larger spool actually save me time. Time I pay for by using another manufacturer since they have 1kg rolls.

I use this filament for my Makerbot Replicator + at the University I work at. The filament is excellent, but is significantly more expensive than a lot of other filaments. I wish Makerbot was more flexible with their filaments and their warranty.
