Great book esp. for beginner pastelers! Tons of advice and tips, along with fantastic reference photos. I only wish the paper it was printed on was a little heavier quality or gauge. Otherwise, can't wait to get started pastelling!

In depth information and instructions on creating your own masterpiece

I've been doing this kind of thing for several several years and I enjoyed seeing how this artist works. Good instruction and information will help the beginner and the more experienced artist. Pastels are a wonderful choice for soft realistic and easy medium to work with. Sarah Tregay is a talented experienced artist who explains set up, techniques, and preservation of your own "masterpiece" !

A nice, bare bones book for pastelling. Great for the beginner. I would have liked to have seen more color combination ideas for horse colors, but I still enjoyed it and learned some new things. Very nice book!
