Telltale games are the kind of thing people tend to love or hate. I see a couple of negative reviews here saying that it is "not really a game", and this is a common criticism of this type of title. I personally enjoy this style of game as a change of pace sometimes and I do enjoy any game where the focus is on the story. What we have here is an interactive story experience told over five episodes. The story takes place in the Borderlands universe, and although it does include cameo appearances from existing characters, you do not need to know the story to play this game as it is a stand alone game. References to events of the main games are here and will appeal to fans, but are not so detailed you will feel you have missed out if you haven't played them.The gameplay is point and click game style, it is mainly making conversation choices and taking part in quick time events. You basically cannot fail this game, if you get a game over for not doing something quick enough, you will just get restarted again from the beginning of the scene with no penalty. If you like trophy hunting you will definitely get the platinum as long as you play all five episodes from start to finish.In the game you control two characters, Rhys and Fiona, who end up thrown together when a con goes wrong. It's an interesting story with lots of humour and can be quite touching in places. If you like a good story this is definitely worth playing whether you are familiar with the Borderlands series or not. If you like telltale games you know what to expect, this is fun and as it is now available pretty cheaply I would definitely recommend it.
