Does this fit a 2 3/8 inch base?

As far as I know there are basically two-three types of posts for boat seats, and if yours has a little triangle wedge on your base this will fit.

If you buy the used can it be returned?

Will this fit a 1988 alumicraft?

Bought as a Gift. But they appear to be universal. My friends boat is aluminum and older not sure of the year
