For my all-organic grow this is perfect. The drainage is on point, I had to add nothing to start, and it carries a lot lighter than soil. I have been growing my plants in it for 5 weeks now and love the outcome. I will be buying more for my next crop and wow I can't wait to see the yield.

I have been playing with using coconut coir for several months now. I've purchased bricks of coir from the big orange hardware store with a brand name any gardener knows along with countless blocks and bulk coir from Amazon. In each one, I have made sure to have a 70:30 ratio of perlite. My spinach plants were all germinated at the same time. They all have the exact same lighting, fertilization, humidity, temp, so on and so forth. The difference in the growth rate of the plants in this medium is amazing. They look two weeks older than the other plants. I was hesitant to purchase this medium because of the price. I'm purchasing more as soon as I am done with the review. As of now, I have only used this medium for spinach. The plants love this stuff. 100% home run

Excellent mix of coco and perlite! Plants love the breathable media! No bugs,holds moisture very well with excellent drainage! Inexpensive and works as needed!

Works well as neutral medium plants love it. It didn't have any trash or debris in it.

Just once I saw some of the critters that turn into aphids. Sterilized room and pots, had to spray, that's why no five star. Otherwise I recommend if you're using water based nutes; I've never had a problem and they're less $ than Mother Earth, their chief competition at 70-30.

I was going into using this coco product kind of skeptical but after using the motherearth coco with an ok run i decided to see if this coco was any better and to my experience my plants are happier and seem to have less issues with more vigorous root growth which actually cut my veg time down an entire week compared to motherearth with using 2 of the same strain clones from same mother and same nutrients. So I will try fox farms cultivation nation for awhile to see if its consistant and i will come back and give an update but so far i like it plus you get 2 c.f. compared to 1.5 to 1.8 from motherearth which is another 5 gal pot for around the same price so theres definitely value in that

Can't give zero stars or I would... big hole right in front of the bag, drier than the Sahara desert, musty, dusty and not what I'd expect for a brand name like Fox Farm!
