Mystical Lenormand Book: The Fortune Cards of Marie-anne Lenormand Paperback – January 1, 2014

This deck is absolutely beautiful and cute at the same time. Everything is accurate. The only thing I would say is I highly recommend the book if you want full-on descriptions. The guidebook tells a little about it but doesn’t tell you about the symbols and stuff. The book does but unfortunately they don’t have anymore in stock:(

This is a BOOK and needs to be purchased with the deck if you are serious about good readings. While buying the deck and book might seem a bit pricey for a Lenormand...I think you'll find you really appreciate using both. This is my daily working set among all others.I ordered this and was somehow expecting something else, like maybe an art book about the deck. A fairly small sized book came and I wasn't sure I would like it. Once I cracked it open I was immediately disgusted that I had not ordered it with the deck as I feel now like I was flying pretty blind. This is a fairly pricey little book for the size, but it is critical to the deck use and nicely done with full color images of the deck.The book is well made and has a stitched binding. It is easy to hold and read. It opens up easily for reading and can be laid flat. The text is very easy reading and explains all aspects of not only the art, but the use of Lenormand.I am just IN LOVE with this author and artist who are both very accessible. I now have both the Mystical Lenormand and the Mystical kipper. This Lenormand is my all time favorite deck and I use it everyday. I am absolutely delighted that I did order this book after realizing what it was. If you are buying the deck you really would be sorry not to buy the book too. I now have instant access to very clear readings. I feel a symbiosis between the author and artist that I haven't in any other deck. They seem to be on the same wave length. This deck has a real sense of joy and clarity.I appreciate that the book explains some things I had never heard before about the merging of Celtic and Christian concepts behind the card. I really wish I had all of this information when I first got the deck. It would have made a difference in how I read. Yes...buy it.

This book is nicely put together in many respects. The cards are presented in color plates. There is delightful pagan artwork in some margins and at the end of each chapter. The first heading is "The Image" . Some of these give a nice background history to the image on the card. Others get into the background detail provided for the image which at times meanders too much toward the symbolic and the details of the setting created by the artist. This could be confusing and borders on treating the deck more like an oracle. Next is "Interpretation." This is a delightful treatment of the card's possibilities. It is thorough and well written, in line with traditional Lenormand interpretations but the writing style is refreshing. Following this is a short list of "time factor", "characteristics", "persons", and astrological attribution." These are helpful. What follows I have not seen before in a Lenormand text. The card being discussed is combined with every other card in the deck for two card combinations. Each has two to three short, well done interpretations. This was a surprise; normally one has to go to the internet for these. Spreads are covered at the end.I was not expecting this book to be so well presented and written. It is classy. The book is artfully presented, detailed in a way most Lenormand texts are not, and written in respectful style that just seems to flow. It would be a good book to start with as a beginner. Yet, because the author follows traditional meanings for the cards, you could incorporate this book with another traditional but more detailed text such as The Essential Lenormand by Rana George. I have no doubt most people would find this book a valuable addition to their Lenormand library.

These cards are absolutely beautiful, the colors and the designs are superb. They almost look like they were hand painted. They are smaller than a poker deck of cards but easy to handle while you shuffle them. The quality of each card is pretty good too. But if I was to order the Mystical lenormand deck again , I would make sure to find them a little bigger in size. The size is good for handling them and for the grand spread but when they are all laid out they do seem to make the reading just a bit too busy due to all of their details and colors so by getting them in a bigger size then it would be easier to appreciate the beautiful details each card has. This smaller size deck makes it a bit hard to see them clearly from a glance, you have to focus well to see every detail. The numbers on the cards are a bit soft so they too are a bit hard to detect right away. Would I get this deck again, yes but in a bigger size , other than that I am super happy with these little cards. They are awesome. I rated this 5 stars cause they are 5 star quality and the sellers do include the sizes in their description of the cards before you buy them so I cannot blame them. Also these are great to carry in your pocket or purse so I will be using them for when I go out and do readings outdoors and stuff like that.When I study at home I use the bigger deck (french lenormand) and it makes it so much easier to see the cards from afar and for studying purposes. I like this particular deck of Lenormand as it's the very first Lenormand deck I ever used and I tend to stick to the familiar. There is no mistaking one card for another, it's plain, simple, and non-overwhelming imagery. It is also small enough to carry with me everywhere I go - it does not take up space in my handbag or leathers.The cards are very thin and non - gloss which means it will damage much easier than a regular glossed deck. Keep in mind that this is a small, travel size deck, not suited for high traffic readings.The box it comes in is not suitable protection to the cards and another option for card protection should be a high priority, especially if this is going to be used as a travel deck.

Was not certain done the right thing ordering Lenormand Cards.I ordered this book to go with cards bought elsewhere (at much cheaper price). Thereby getting both at a better price than buying together.I bought this book and a general study book Lenormand Cards.Both insightful but a few stark differences in meanings alongside similarities.Not regretting this purchase.It obviously helps if you have the actual deck. Without question but I would add for serious card reading go with your instincts. The book helps wrap your head round the principals and history. Also gives guidance on positioning and relationships between the cards.TBH it will take a long time to master Lenormand as far as the grander spreads go. Due to the complexities. But simple readings can be done very quickly.Good investment if it’s your ’bag’.

I have a few tarot decks and when I came across these I felt these were me. Beautiful illustrations, comes with a small handbook with simple meanings and layouts .

I loved these cards from the moment I opened them and they read like a dream for me.The pictures on them are fantastic and so colourful too, they seem to speak you. I can't believe their accuracy. I tried daily readings with them but I feel they respond better to more in depth readings. I can't recommend these cards highly enough. I absolutely love them and I'm so glad I discovered and bought them. If you're thinking about buying them then GO GET THEM QUICK!!!!!! A simply wonderful deck. I got them from Amazon.de. There's 36 cards in this deck, but I have just heard they have added another 4 cards that can be bought separately and added to the pack of 36. I plan to get these very soon. I have just edited this to add the name of the other 4 cards......Card number 37 is for Ancestors, 38 for Spirit Guides, 39 for Power Animals and 40 for Angel.

Bought these to replace a pack well used and well loved but a bit worse for wear and card missing(lost). Delighted to have new pack which is exactly the same and will be just as well used.Lovely illustrations with small instruction book but interpretation becomes instinctive with use.

Like the illustrations and the detailed booklet inside. Dislike the fact the booklet was sooo small.
