WILEY The Speech–Language Pathology Treatment Planner

This is exactly the type of book that every grad student in SLP needs. It has pre-written goals for 22 disorders, from TBI to autism to tracheostomy/ventilator patients. This book is great for students working towards practice in the education or medical settings. And the treatment ideas are handy too! It's definitely a MUST HAVE for students at their first clinical practicum sites. I know that I'll have this book for many years to come. Get it!

the text is not written by persons in the field of speech pathology...the information is written based on general tx practices for any professional treating pts in any field...not in depth enough, in my opinoin, for speech language pathology professionals....learned a valuable lesson in purchasing texts for my field of practice; always identify/investigate the authors areas of expertise before purchasing a professional resource...if one is seeking knowledge regarding general tx practces, this is a good tool...

This book has exactly what was missing in my SLP grad school program. It tells you what you actually DO with clients. Don't get me wrong, grad school equipped me with the background knowledge and I was able to work with several types of clients during clinicals, but when I opened this book and read how well they laid out detailed treatment steps for a variety of populations...I was very pleased!!!
