This is an absolutely gorgeous bowl made of Big Island of Hawaii Norfolk Pine. The bowl features a colorful visible knots from where the branches came into the tree trunk, which makes it a very unusual visually interesting bowl. The bowl is turned by hand from one solid Norfolk Pine tree trunk, then was let dry for several month, and then meticulously finished to bring out the natural beauty of this bowl. A true one of a kind this Norfolk Pine bowl will make a stunning display and bring some of the Aloha from Hawaii into the owner's home and heart. The bowl is finished with a natural oil and over the years as more mineral oil is applied to maintain the bowl it will just become even more beautiful. This bowl is food save and can be used as a salad bowl. To keep clean just wipe out bowl with a soft cloth and apply a coat of mineral oil to maintain. Included is a set of Hawaiian Salad Servers, that are made from the same piece of wood the bowl was made from.
