This little 8"x10" mini quilt with a message is mounted on a 12" x 12" stretched canvas painted a coordinating purple. The hand and earth is made using a fusible appliqué technique and cotton batik fabrics.The hand details are then stitched in with black thread and the light parts of the "world" are colored in a bit darker to make it look like land masses.the background is freemotion quilted for added texture and then facing is added for a finish. The words are printed out on fabric, quilted and finished with a facing as well. Being everything is on a canvas you can hang it from just one nail or a picture hook by the wire attached to the back.
