Its unique design allows the reels to stay attached to the rods. This versatile fishing rod rack will hold fly rods with fresh water reels, rod cases or spin rods with most closed fresh water reels and many kinds of open reels attached. A small redesign in the depth also will also allow for salt water reels, This design includes 5 keyhole shaped recesses to receive the rod handles and second and third rod segments adjacent to the handles. It is 20" wide X 40" tall. The depth of this unit slopes from 9" at the bottom (including drawer pull) to 3-1/2" at the top. The box joint drawer stores essential fishing accessories reducing clutter in your garage or mudroom closet even further. We can also add pegs to the outside (for fishing hats) and hooks to the bottom for waders. The unit pictured is made from Lodge Pole Pine trees harvested in Grand County, CO that died from the infestation of the Pine Bark Beetle. The lumber from these trees features blue-gray stripes distinctive to beetle killed trees. The unit is finished with multiple coats of clear polyurethane in a satin finish and completed with two coats of paste wax buffed to a hard shell sheen. The 4" drawer pull is a trout design in rust that accents the beetle killed pine.
