Kleinn Air Horns SDKIT-230 Bolt-On Train Horn/Onboard Air System for Ford F-250/F-350 Super Duty Diesel Trucks

During installation my truck, 2015 SRW F-350 Crew Cab, long bed, Platinum trim did not have holes in the passenger frame rail to mount the air tank/compressor assembly. I had to drill both holes. Is this a know issue?Packaging was good, but on arrival the bracket that holds the mount for the air/tank compressor was sticking out of the main Kleinn box. The Air compressor was loose in the main box, it’s box was split open during transit. Packaging could have been a bit better, used more dunnage to reduce internal shifting of parts for the cost of the kit.Instruction set could have been a bit better, better quality pictures and a little more detail. I used the instruction for the SDKIT17-734 available as a pdf. This helped to clarify the wiring with diagrams and such.

Was not a bolt on kit. Had to drill a hole in the frame rail. Then after installation, there was a sever rattle where the mount and air tank would rub together. The compressor is extremely loud for the price. At more than triple competitors prices you would think it would be top quality. Most of the components started showing signs of rust within the first 60 days. The Instructions don’t make must sense, so having mechanical aptitude is almost necessary for this in my opinion. Customer service is absolutely horrible and helpless. I would avoid this product and this company.

Nice loud horns. Keep in mind three things-1. If you have amp retractable steps on your truck this mount does not work2. If ordering thur amazon there return/warranty not the same as ordering directly thur Kleinn3. Trying to contact them/receive a call back is horrible

exactly as promised. easy to install, fits perfect. great price. only issue was they need longer bolts in a couple of places for even easier install.

The instructions were not as clear as they could have been. Jumping from a picture of a real truck to a computer generate cartoon version, not a good idea. The main bracket for the compressor could have been better designed to not have it so close to critical wiring. All they needed was an additional 1/2 of steel on the bracket and that would have alleviated a ton of headaches. The wiring solenoid cube was not sufficient to connect all the wires from the back to the front and the factory horn. Designers should be required to try to install in a real truck before putting out on the market.
