All-Weather Whistle Wind Storm Safety Whistle, Yellow

WOW! This WINDSTORM Safety Whistle is really loud. When I blew into it my younger dogs were puzzled and my older deaf dog even heard it. Being a senior citizen I think this will be a great safety measure for me. I am going to attach it to my keychain. I wish I could afford to buy more for some of the senior citizens where my friend lives. My friend lives in a gated community for all ages really, but I heard of an incident just recently. A senior went out to her upstairs patio and got locked out somehow. She was yelling for help but it is summer in Scottsdale, Arizona and it is 115 degrees during the day often. Everyone's air conditioners are going strong and it was hard to hear her. She was finally heard and suffered no ill effects but this whistle would have been a considerable help for her. The price is reasonable and I may well purchase a few more. Again it is really loud. Great product!!

I use the full size Storm whistle on our boats, but didn't want to hang one around my neck for hikes. This Wind Storm whistle sounds just as loud and is easier to manage during hikes. Let's hope I never actually need to use it, but it's nice to have in case of injury.

This thing would is a great backup for a Big Airhorn. Seems like really good quality for what it is. By no means would I ever trust it to save my life. Its actually really hard to hear 1/2 mile away on a slightly windy ocean.

Got these to keep in the car in case there's ever a problem and one of my children needs to draw attention to themselves. I consider it a good safety device for adults obviously in addition to other things.

great, works in water with minimal effort, better than some competition go spearfishing / snorkeling and I just want to have a whistle of 2 in case of jet skis / boats with distracted drivers. a friend told me that the Fox 40, another brand is louder. I bought one of those as well. The Fox 40 sounds like the whistles the life guards blow, and it is probably easier to ignore it. The Windstorm has a more distinctive and less shrill sound. Also it works immediately while wet, while with the Fox 40 you need to blow harder at the beginning to clear the water. Also if a cyclist wants to use a whistle the design of the Windstorm make it less likely to get stuck in the throat / windpipe in case of an accident / fall. I will keep the Fox 40 as a back up but Windstorm is great. Probably worth getting the Storm that is larger and louder for kayaking / boating.

As race corner workers for F&C, Pit & Grid or Starters know, you need something that will drown out the engine noise and alert drivers and other workers...this accomplishes that. I've used this whistle at many events, and have never had a problem getting the attention of other workers, drivers or safety personnel. Loud, extremely loud, to the point of near ear damage if used indoors. NOT A TOY. This whistle exceeds needs of use for a coach or team whistle, and would probably be too loud in a team event environment, but is useful as a rescue whistle or safety whistle. Although I've never tried it, it's card is marked as capable of being heard under water. Due to it's design, it is likely that is completely possible. Nice dayglo yellow, easily hangs around the neck with little weight. About 3" at it's widest point.

I wear this thing attached to my suit when swimming long distances and boogie boarding. This thing works!!! it is loud and effectively gets the attention from encroaching surfers in the body boarding areas. It worked when I needed the attention of the lifeguard when I assisted a woman in distress. I highly recommend this product.
