BELLRINO Replacement Umbrella Canopy for 9ft 8 Ribs GREEN (Canopy Only)

Every couple of years we bought new umbrellas due to wear and fading. We decided to try buying just the canopy this year. First of all it's cheaper than buying the entire umbrella. The quality is very good and it's easy to assemble. The only negative is that there is no tie string. I wish there were a few more colors to choose from but all in all a very good product and a great idea!

Looks great and good material. I purchased 2, but had to buy separately because my one umbrella frame had 6 spokes and the other had 8. Just be aware so you purchase the correct canopy.

I read a lot of reviews on this before I bought one. Most said it was hard to put on or they couldn't get the top to fit. These are all great concerns and if you read the instructions on how to remove the metal ring and enlarge the opening there really isn't a problem. Yes it goes on hard but it does fit snug so unless they use an elastic strap to secure the arms to the material, it will be a tight fit but doable!I really don't understand why they manufacture something that has to be altered to fit most standard Umbrellas but that would be my only concern.

My umbrella mechanism was still in good shape but the canopy had faded from the sun. I hated to throw out the entire umbrella just because the fabric was faded (plus the added expense of purchasing a whole new umbrella). This replacement canopy was the perfect solution. It took all of five minutes to remove the old canopy and replace it with the new one. The key is to leave the umbrella closed during removal/installation, which allows for a little more slack in the fabric. Honestly, this was the easiest home improvement project I've ever done. The old canopy is now the perfect drop cloth for painting. And, as an aside, I bought an umbrella cover to keep the new canopy from fading in the future.

I ordered this to match another hunter green umbrella. It's now a dusty pale green.
