GK-368 Battery Operated Glue Gun

I feared that a battery operated glue gun would never heat up to the proper temperature.I feared that the batteries wouldn't last long enough to finish a project.I feared that this was a novelty and not really a tool.I was wrong on all counts.This little honey is a fine glue gun and the cordless operation makes it just that much better. Maybe this shouldn't be the only glue gun you own, but it definitely has a place in your crafts arsenal.The gun seems to be constructed well except for the battery holder - I suspect that will be the first part to fail. Time will tell.

If there were an option for no stars, I would have selected it. I bought this for my mom, who makes wreaths & other seasonal decor. She was disappointed to see it worked for a few minutes, then the base where the batteries are got very hot, but the end where the glue comes out would not hear up. After letting it cool for half an hour, it barely did anything at all on her second attempt. Terrible product, wish I hadn't spent nearly $30 on this for her present.

This over heats so fast and burns out the battery so fast. The product just stops. I could only use it for 30 mins or less it automatically shuts off you have to change the batteries. Great concept but not useful if it doesn't work. I would not recommend it.

I love the design of this glue gun and I have purchased several over the years both “Cold Heat & Pro’s Kit” When they fail its always the same component. The plastic arm that connects the trigger to the stick feed breaks and then the small tabs that hold the top louvers or panels not sure what to call them when disassembling are so thin they always break. I have had to repair every single one over the past 20 years and I try so hard not to break those little tabs but it’s impossible. I am able to fix that plastic arm for a while but it usually breaks again. then it’s to the back patio where I throw it down and stomp all over it like the Tasmanian devil till I feel better. It just irritates me because it could be one of the best glue guns out there but they don’t fix this problem for 20 years!

Excellent little gun and most importantly it works.It does drain batteries like if it's thirsty but it's still worth the mobility without connecting to an outlet so my next purchase will be a good quality rechargeable battery and charger.

3-1/2 starsWorks pretty well for a battery powered/low-cost glue gun.Use Energizer Lithium or Panasonic Eneloops (rechargable NiMH batteries) if you want decent performance.Alkaline batteries simply won't work all that great in something like this that demands a lot of current.NiMH can supply more current than (expensive) Lithium; plus you can recharge them instead of throwing them in the trash.It's really not that bad of a glue gun, but I'm not surprised at anyone using store-bought Alkalines being disappointed.Bosch makes an -excellent- cordless glue gun (Bosch GluePen) that heats up really fast, and recharges over micro-USB; but you have to get it from Amazon.de (Germany); you can't buy that glue gun from anywhere in the U.S. (that I was able to find). I own one, and like it very much; but it's also a touch expensive once you factor in the exchange rate and shipping.

Great product. Works well. I recommend it.

I like it becuase it wireless but the battery is not recharcharceable and i dont like it.
