The Enjoyment of Music (Second Essential Listening Edition)

When it came in the mail, it was nicely packaged and no tear or bent marks on the book. I do wish the book was all together instead of having to put it inside a binder to keep all the pages together. I recommend this book to anyone who is taking Music Appreciation to get this book. Really enjoyed reading this as well as learning about music.

I rented it to save money, yet I wish I had bought it. Interesting how the book demonstrates that multimedia isn't new, as art, music, and poetry are linked strongly to each other.

Needed this book for a class. Worked for the purpose I needed it for but came used with previous annotations and highlights. Did not impede on my needs but just wanted to mention just in case.

As a cosplayer - there are some pros and cons to this sellers outfit. For one, I gave the seller my measurements (which do not seem to be done). The shipping was incredible though. It had shipped within 2 days and I got it through the mail (from China) within another 2 days. So that part was awesome. The shirt and arm covers are well made. Here are the pros: the skirt is way too long. The leg pieces have enough material to go up where they need to be, but the top part is too tight and won't go up as far as it should. I'm skinny - 5"5 and 115 pounds - so I know my size isn't the problem. The cape doesn't go down far enough. And the chest piece was made way to big. (if I have my measurements, none of this should be an issue, right?)So overall, it is not bad for the price. I need to do some updating, but that's because I'm picky and I knew I would have to before I bought it. The shipping was awesome. The measurements are totally wrong.

The book is ok, but you should buy NEW book so you can use access code to access to all supporting materials you need on publisher's website. This publisher is really "mean," they don't let you access even chapter outline or glossary.... If you have had a good background about music you don't need the access code. If you like me, know nothing about music so you need access code to understand how things work.

This edition is easy to read and understand. Enjoyed the literature and other excerpts that were included, appreciated the history aspect of it, as well as the artwork of each time. A truly educational text.

You MUST buy this book NEW for any COLLEGE CLASS. New books come with the access code required to listen to music for the class. The USED books code is no longer valid. Each book has it's own code.With that said, the book is excellent.
