JBL XTREME 3 Portable Speaker with Bluetooth - Blue (Renewed)

I started by purchasing 1 of them. The one i received works well and looks good. You can tell it was well used by some scuffs you would get if you use this product as advertised. Overall was very satisfied and saved money.I wanted a bit more power and the ability to pair two as left and right speakers so i ordered another after using the first one for about a month. The second one still had the original packaging with uncut plastic seals. Opening it up further, it seemed obvious this was never opened. The speaker even still had like that fresh from the factory electronic device smell.Funny enough, the used one sounds a little better and more clear/rounded to me. I assume that's because the possibly unused one hasn't really been broken in yet.For the sound of these speakers, I'd say they're fun. the sound is also good for outdoors and the bass definitely bumps. From my own experiments using sub notes, bass starts rolling off the further you go below about 50hz. Below 40hz is basically a deadzone. If you play Boom Boom Pow from Black Eyed Peas and you only hear 2/3 sub notes on this speaker, that will be why. I have 2 JBL Boom box 3 and got this for traveling since is more compact, and man can I say thise one comments with my boombox 3, a little less base but packs a punch. The battery last me a long time, the built is roughed, Bluetooth works perfect with all my devices. It is waterproof as long as the flap on the back is closed. The sound is clear with strong aggressive bass. And for the price is a steal

I upgraded to this JBL XTREME 3 from the original model (much smaller in size) . I had the original model for about 6 or 7 years, JBL I think had and still has a great reputation with their products. From my experience my original JBL was long lasting and the sound was great. I finally decided to upgrade and this one is simply AWESOME! It is larger, yes, so depending on where you want to take your JBL you may not want one this large, but it is not massive either. It has a really handy and comfortable strap that attaches securely to the JBL on each end, to turn it into an easy carry and go speaker! I will be using this for all my riverside beach picnics and bbq's this summer! I will be using it outside in my backyard for bbq's and hang outs, the sound carries further and I feel the sound is more crisp bringing attention to all the little details of a song with every instrument clearly heard. This makes for a great vibe when having a party. Just for daily listening to, the sound carries throughout the house really well, which is great when I want tunes while I clean and can just leave the speaker in one spot and pretty much hear it as I go room to room sweeping, doing laundry etc. - I think I will eventually buy a new smaller JBL as well, because my original one that I got 7 years ago, finally isn't working as good, only because I will use that one when I go paddle boarding, it is a better size for activities like that. But this JBL XTREME is pretty much perfect for everything else. I definitely recommend.

JBL doesn’t disappoint and has found they’re botched in these portable speakers. It has no problem be the audio device on the boat the beach wherever you want to have a party

This review is mostly for the supplier.JBL has been making great speakers forever, and I had no doubts about the quality. By the way, the unit sounds amazing.However, since this item was purchased as "Renewed" I was afraid to receive an item with nothing but problems. In fact the word "renewed" is just an embellishment of "refurbished malfunctioning item". Here is the reason for the review for the seller as opposed to the product.I received a "Renewed" item extremely well taken care of, to the point that I think that the items had no problems whatsoever and was packed as it was brand new. This seller is in my opinion top class and will buy more product from them. I saved over 100 bucks and I am totally satisfied.

Came in original box. Looked unopened and untouched. Sounds clear with great base and can get very loud. Battery lasts a long time. Very impressed!

I now have two extreme threes and three Flip Sixs. I take these to house parties with my Ipad and they are a hit.I know the New extreme has a removable rechargeable battery but I'll just wait till these are worn out before I upgrade.I had the UE Boom wow and they were okay. The sound quality does not compare to the JBLs. The JBLs are much fuller sounding. More like what one would here from a proper speaker.We already destroy audio content by compressing it it's a shame to compound that deterioration by playing through an inferior device.
