Fantastic Fan for Daughter's Bedroom
Great little fan. Bought this for my daughter's loft bed so she could stay cool and breezy at night. It is not only stylish for her, but also functions very well. I was concerned about the lack of tilt ability, but in her case it works perfectly because the air distribution is wide enough that it doesn't need to be "aimed" at her. This fan is probably bigger than you are imagining, be sure to check its size. The low setting (despite what other people are suggesting) is awesome, because it is super quiet, but is just enough to circulate some air lightly. If you're looking to cool down properly, then the high setting is great and powerful. Love this fan. A little jealous I don't have one of my own.

Great to fall asleep to, moves lots of air
I just bought this as a replacement, my last chillout lasted 6 years of basically non-stop use as a bedside brown noise generator. When the bearing finally went out, I tried a generic fan from Target and was quickly annoyed by the harsh noise it produced and had to buy another Chillout. The Chillout has a very subdued tone at the lo speed, very little high frequency noise, mostly a smooth low pitch sound of moving air.Speaking of moving air, it's great as an actual fan and not just a brown noise machine. At lo speed, it provides a great cooling effect from as much as 5 feet away. At hi, it's a bit too powerful as a bedside fan in my opinion. The bearing on this model does not appear to be replaceable like the old one was, though it is better stabilized than the older chillout, with the outer race of the bearing being built into the frame instead of pressed in. In addition, the bearing is better sealed than the old one and may last longer.Tl;Dr: just buy this fan. It's great.

Fan works nice, but the knob is annoying sometimes
The fan blows a good amount of air, and has a nice design. The only annoying thing is the angled knob. You often need to brace the back of the fan in order to turn the knob. Because the knob is like a cone, it tends to slide backwards as you try to grip the knob to turn. So it's actually quite hard to turn on and off easily with one hand. You have to either use the second hand to hold the fan still, or focus carefully to put just the right amount of pressure when gripping the knob so that you have enough grip to turn, but not so much that it slides backwards.

I'd never buy this fan again. The on/off switch is hard to manage unless Im wearing rubber gloves (poor shape & smooth plastic); the fan is poorly balanced and constantly topples. It's too light for its small stand.Best I can say about it is that it's better-looking than most and does move air about.

I'm a Fan of this Fan!
I bought 2 of these fans. One for me and my son. It's a perfect size that blows out ample enough cool air right along side my bed on those warm nights when running the air conditioner does more harm than good. Nice and compact and delivers what I would expect out of a product such as this. Very well pleased with my purchase and its performance.

Overall, great fan, great price.
Works great. It's a little loud but not extremely noisy. Also, not a big fan of the dial on the front, can be hard to turn at times.
