VMK15-250 Universal Tunable VAREX Muffler, Round Body 6" Diameter, 15" Body Length, 2.5" Flanged Inlet, 2.5" Single Wall Tip; Polished 304 Stainless Steel

I installed this muffler on a JK Wrangler 3.6L - This muffler is great. Cleaver design to route exhaust around the canister to kill the sound. I however don't like the results based on my application and expectations. OPEN: When muffler is set to open, it is significantly quieter than a straight pipe. I wanted to retain that straight pipe volume but also add a quiet option by installing this muffler - that is not the case. The "loud" open state of the muffler is significantly quieter than a straight pipe, keep that in mind. CLOSED: When closed it is nearly nonexistent. Super super quiet. Unfortunately, I want the option of a full open-pipe sound, so I will be re-doing my exhaust with a bypass instead of this muffler. That said, this muffler will work for many of you that want quiet, and a more aggressive tone. One thing I noticed too, when closed, the back pressure changes radically and the engine may take time to adjust. When on the highway flooring it, the Jeep would not pass "x" Mph with the muffler closed, once I opened it, it did. Overall, great quality and construction. Varex has a very solid product.
