Used to fix a stripped crank bolt on a 396 big block Chevy. Worked well. I had to use two of the thread serts for the depth. Don't crank the second one in too hard or you'll go over the first one you inserted. You'll need an odd sized drill bit so research that and order it at the same time.

Plastic wrench broke on first use.
Worked great to repair damaged threads for my steering knuckle caliper mount on 1985 Monte Carlo SS. The wrench is make of plastic and broke on the first use. Thankfully I have a metal wrench.

My first helicoil
Purchased this for my first helicoil type thread repair attempt. It works, no complaints there, most important thing is a proper sized hole drilled straight. Repaired the rear transmission Mount on my truck, threads stripped out of the hole like it was tightened too much or when the case was hot. Aluminum drills easy so no biggie just wanted to try this instead of getting into tap sizes I’m only going to use once.

Junk, and didn't match the pictures.
Didn't show up as pictured. No collar on setting tool, and the shoulder on the setting tool that showed up would let wire to slip by. Would not set the wire at all. Total crap.
