Delicate, beautiful, perfect
I really compared SO many teapots and took a LONG time to choose one. This was my choice after much deliberation AND review-reading. I couldn't be more happy with this teapot! The "squatty", more Japanese styling of the pot allows the infuser to reach nearly all the way to the bottom of the pot, making the most of your brewing time and your tea. Made of borosilicate glass, you're going to think it's too delicate to use, but let me tell you, it's plenty tough! It's also a much healthier option in teapot materials. The infuser is large, a thin but sturdy stainless steel with the absolute tiniest pin-sized holes, allowing full flow of water and plenty of space for the tea leaves to fully expand, giving you the most flavor possible. I read negatives from a few reviews regarding the shape of the handle, that it wasn't ergonomically friendly for pouring. That is hogwash. I ordered the largest size of these Kyoto pots, 36 oz, and the handle is plenty large enough and appropriately shaped to pick up and pour from this teapot. I also read other review that were negative about the spout, saying that it dripped. More hogwash. This doesn't drip any more than any other spout in the world; I haven't seen it drip on my counter yet. This can be used on the stovetop to boil your water, as well, but I have an electric quick-boil kettle (another Amazon purchase -- look for my review!), so I have no need for this feature. But if I could give this TEN stars, I would. Why? In addition to the above reasons, let me tell you... this teapot doesn't just brew your tea. This teapot makes your morning tea, your afternoon tea, and your evening tea all feel like a special treat. Like something special that you are doing for yourself today. SOMETHING in your day should feel like that! Let it be this teapot!I should note: in the photo, you will see this teapot on top of a tea warmer which is NOT INCLUDED with this purchase (it is also available on Amazon; I purchased my warmer from Teabloom). The tin of tea in the photo is also NOT INCLUDED in this purchase. Only the teapot is.

Just right
I'm unexpectedly impressed with the practicality of this teapot. It's more durable than it looks. It makes excellent tea. It's a smart design. Very nice indeed. Dishwasher and microwave (without the metal filter) safe.

Great tea pot!
Really like this teapot! It's beautifully designed and has a nice shape - it's also easy to use, clean, and pours nicely.

Completely Satisfied!
Very good teapot with a large infuser that extends almost to the bottom. I didn't and don't plan to put it on the stove, since I was looking for a teapot to just steep. The glass seems thin and delicate, so I recommend you be extra careful with it. Other than this I've been able to make the best tea with it. Also, is small, so I recommend to get the bigger size.I'm happy with this purchase.

Beautiful shape & design. Easy to pour. Brews perfectly.
PROS: Overall, I love the design of this teapot particularly because of the strainer basket reaching to the bottom of it. I use somewhat expensive tea leaves & the strainer ending 3/4th of the way down has always been an issue with me. Also, I see the width of the strainer as a huge plus. Tea leaves easily circulate to brew evenly & that makes all the difference in the world. High quality tea leaves open & expand often so room is needed for them to brew nicely. I wanted a teapot that I could remove the strainer basket & still have a lid to fit on it. The glass pot I have has a lid that only fits if the strainer basket is inside. I don't want to leave tea leaves in brewed tea because it turns the tea bitter. I want to be able to remove it & then put it back in place for subsequent brewing.CONS: I bought one Amazon was selling as a returned item for a lower price but when I opened the box, I found the handle was broken in the middle. It wasn't packed very well so I don't know if an already broken pot was sent or if it was damaged in transit to me from Amazon. In processing the return, there was a note to contact Teabloom as well. I did & received an answer the same day asking for information so they could send a replacement. Excellent customer service. Before I repacked it, I took a good look at everything. Again, the design & pouring spout are exactly what i like so I was very pleased with that. I only have one glass teapot (smallish) because I use Japanese & Chinese traditional teapots mostly so I'm not a borosilicate glass expert. The glass coffee presses I've had were very sturdy but this pot is nothing like that. It may be stronger than it feels but it did feel very light & fragile. The glass pot I already have feels about the same though. I wouldn't ever use it on a heat source to be honest about it but then I don't with the pot I already have either. I'll pre-warm it with warm water & then pour in heated water for whatever oolong or green tea I'm using (cooler temp water). It's a hand wash, handle gently item I'm sure but I already do that so it's a non-issue for me. I don't think my entire universe must be able to be washed in a dishwasher. If you insist on a dishwasher, you'd be better off with a heavy, ceramic tea pot rather than a glass one. When the replacement arrives, I'll use it and update this review with how it handled everything. Something to note is that the lid needs to be held in place when pouring. That is really to be expected though given the type of tea pot it is. I must also hold the lids in place when pouring from my Japanese tetsubins or my Chinese Yixing pots.....it's absolutely normal to do that. More modern, non-traditional ceramic pots have hinged lids if that is the way you want to go. This isn't a daily cup of tea type pot like a good British Brown Betty is (which I use) but more to use for a special moment in your day when you want to relax & enjoy some excellent tea leaves you like. More to follow.........

Even nicer than I thought it might be!!
This is really nice. High quality glass, and the lid fits perfectly against the basket so leaves and such don't slip by. No signs of rust or pits on the basket - seems to be quality stainless steel. The wide opening makes it super easy to wash, and the spout works perfectly - no splashes or drips. And it just looks nice on the counter.I like to make tea with slices of ginger root, cinnamon stick, cloves, lemon, and honey and the basket works great for that.

Cute little teapot
Love this little teapot. Makes about two cups of tea. Can see the steeping strength of the tea. I can make tea with tea bags or loose tea with no problem.
