Surprised by the quality, very good. Very sturdy and holds up to washing nicely. Attractive design is easy to hold and finish is very shiny, looks more expensive than the cost. Will buy more from this brand.

I bought these spoons five years ago and never wrote a review but am writing it now as I prepare to order more. I use long spoons minimally twice per day to stir beverages and have been so happy with these ones! They look just as good now as they did five years ago. I put everything in the dishwasher and these have held up great despite so many washings. I'm re-ordering now and will update my review if the quality of the new spoons is any less than the originals.

TLDR: these are basic, steel, good and loooong. Growing up we had these (not THESE these) long thin spoons that I referred to as "teaspoons" because why not. As an adult now, I've hated always having short spoons or massive spoons. I like to stir my drinks thoroughly, be it tea, choccy milk, or preworkout (yeah,yeah - shaker). I realized that as a working man I have the privilege to seek out whatever length spoons my heart desires, so here I came - and found these - not too pricey, steel, and long. But good heavens they're even longer than my childhood spoons. 9 inches indeed. They're kinda comical in the drawer as we keep them with some very short spoons (its like his and hers teaspoons). I use these for treats sometimes too, especially cold things. I'm reminded of a story I heard that said basically that in both heaven and hell everyone sat around a pot of stew in a big circle and had 3' spoons fixed to their arms. In hell everyone was starving because eating with a 3' spoon fixed to your arm means you spill 99% of it. In heaven, everyone fed their neighbor. Inspiring story perhaps, but folks THESE ARE THOSE SPOONS.

DISCUSSION: The clear loser in this competition was the Hiware 8.5-inch Long Handle Spoon, which had the slight advantage of being extremely lightweight but also the huge disadvantage of looking moderately cheap in appearance, especially at the very top of the handle, where the edges need to be made much smoother. The side circumference of the teaspoon section also looks moderately cheap in appearance, even though it functions quite adequately. The other 3 long-handled spoons all had certain situations in which they would be the best spoon to use. I therefore recommend that everybody should avoid buying the Hiware 8.5-inch long-handled spoon but go ahead and buy all 3 of the other long-handled spoons. All 4 of these products occasionally had very minor defects such as black smudges, which could easily be removed with a water-soaked, abrasive sponge, or very tiny dents, which could not be improved. Expect 1 or 2 spoons of the set of 4 spoons to be less than perfect in all 4 of these products. The Onubu Bistro 8.8-inch High Quality Long Handle Spoon (made in China) was the best spoon to use when: (1)Mixing thick foods, mixing thick drinks, or mixing ice cream because the handle was easier to grip than the handles of all other long-handled spoons when great strength was needed to do the mixing. (2)Showing off a high quality spoon to your friends or customers. However, the Onubu Bistro 8.8-inch High Quality Long Handle Spoon (made in China) had the following disadvantages: (1)This spoon, which was the highest quality spoon for showing off, was not the highest quality spoon for function because of its weight, which was somewhat too heavy, making it more difficult to enjoy using this spoon than lighter weight long-handled spoons. (2)This handle of this spoon, which is very thick and heavy compared to all other long-handled spoons, gets much hotter and much more difficult to touch than the other brands of long-handled spoons when left standing in coffee, tea, cocoa, or soup with boiling hot water poured over it. The Purefold Korean 8.6-inch Hollow Handle Long Handle Spoon (made in South Korea) was the best spoon to use when: (1)The large, tablespoon size of this spoon was needed or desired. The other 3 long-handled spoons have much smaller, teaspoon size spoons. (2)The extremely lightweight, rod-shaped, hollow handle was needed or desired. Small, empty cups were much less likely to topple over by themselves when this long-handled spoon was inserted into the empty cup. (3)When mixing liquids. Whenever too much strength was not needed to do the mixing, the extremely lightweight, rod-shaped, hollow handle of this spoon was easy to hold. (4)A hollow handle that doesn't get super hot when immersed in boiling hot water was needed or desired. However, the Purefold Korean 8.6-inch Hollow Handle Long Handle Spoon (made in South Korea) had the following disadvantage: (1)Whenever the large, tablespoon size of this spoon was not needed or desired, it damaged the enjoyment of using this spoon because of its unnecessary, additional weight. The Hiware 9-inch Long Handle Iced Tea Spoon (made in China), which doesn't have the cheap appearance of the Hiware 8.5-inch Long Handle Iced Tea Spoon (made in China) and which doesn't suffer from the excessively heavy weight of the Onubu Bistro 8.8-inch High Quality Long Handle Spoon (made in China), was the best spoon to use when: (1)The longer, 9-inch total length of the spoon was needed or desired. (2)A moderately high quality appearance was needed or desired. (3)A lightweight handle and low total spoon weight was needed or desired. (4)A lightweight handle that doesn't get super hot when immersed in boiling hot water was needed or desired. (5)An adequately large but lightweight teaspoon size spoon was needed or desired. The Hiware 9-inch Long Handle Iced Tea Spoon (made in China) had the following disadvantage: (1)Many people say that most foods will taste a little better if they are eaten with a tablespoon instead of a teaspoon. The reason for this is that a tablespoon is able to deliver more food into the mouth at one time than a teaspoon. If this is true, then the Purefold Korean 8.6-inch Hollow Handle Long Handle Spoon (made in South Korea), which is a long-handled tablespoon, would be a much better spoon to use for everything that we eat and we should completely stop using all teaspoons, including the Hiware 9-inch Long Handle Iced Tea Spoon (made in China), which is a long-handled teaspoon.

I just got them and used one for ice cream. They are nice and long. I'm not sure about the finish and how it will hold up. I don't plan on using them often but on occassion they do the job.

Just received these spoons. They are exactly what I was looking for. Great quality and great price. Would buy again.
