My 10 year old son whom is autistic didnt quite grasp the story line was a story line that goes many ways so found it difficult to follow.

These are great books. Really good for reluctant readers as they are genuinely funny.

British stupidity at its finest.Should be mandatory reading for all children and parents alike.I’ve read this twice to my three kids, and bought another for our friend’s seven-year old daughter My 15 year-old still roars at it and I end up making large animal-like snorts.Get the whole set and let yourself go!

Love these books - Will no doubt buy the whole series in time. My 6 year old laughs out loud at least a couple of times whenever I read one of these to him. Great daft British sense of humour that is ridiculous but great for kids and adults alike. Sneaks in a few life lessons too, despite the irreverent attitude generally.

Grandchildren tell me it fantastic, they are all avid readers and it appears to have gone through the family from 7 years old to 12

Brilliantly weird and funny as are all the Mr Gum books
