This is a pretty good. What i don't like is the wifi dongle, it's a shame the built in wifi doesn't work.You can use the stock firmware, but i've heard the sd card it comes on is really cheap and therefore i decided to purchase a new sd card and install ambereleci really enjoy playing retro games, i even installed a Tomy game and game and watch and its great nostalgia

This is a great little handheld with a very nice if a tad small IPS display. The D-pad , buttons and analogue controls all feel nice to use and well placed on the device. The device came with an SD card pre loaded with a lot of old school games. My advice would be to check out Retro game corps youtube channel on this device and immediately back up the card as the one it comes with is prone to failure. I backed mine up to a hard drive that i have and bought a Sandisk SD card then put Amberelec onto it. I then transferred my stuff onto the new SD card . You can use several different OS on this device like the stock one on the card or Amberelec, Arkos or Batocera . Now the performance of the device is not bad but do not go into this expecting it to play Dreamcast well as it will not. Some are playable but well below standard performance.N64 is also hit & miss . F Zero plays well and that is mid tier n64 emulation but you will need to upgrade to one of the better OS for this really. If Snes, Megadrive and Arcade is all your after then this will do most of that stuff really well ! Stock OS has Sega master system incorrectly as Genesis ! Also some arcade games are incorrectly shown in the neo geo folder, Its easy to correct on a PC though. All in all I really like this device, it's small enough to fit in your pocket and plays a lot of games really well. Back up that SD card and enjoy !

First - read the description carefully! I didn't and ordered a wifi dongle AND a screen protector at the same time , only to find both included in the box ! Doh! The build quality is great , feels better than the more expensive metal version ( retro feels better on plastic! ). The included SD card has a nice clean OS on it with some "additional content". I'd save it , get a new SD card and install 351elec fresh and add your own content. The wifi dongle gets HOT when you do a 2hr scrape of all your new content so beware. Battery life is ok , 4hrs or so. Screen is really nice , and laminated to the front glass so looks great. This is my new daily driver for retro games.

Make you install the latest AmberELEC firmware/operating system to get the most out of this device -Plays everything up to PSX games with no issues - when you try to play dreamcast you will soon realize that these games are the limit of the device.Do not get this if you are looking to mainly play dreamcast as that experience isn't 100%.

Great device if your expectations are correct

Bought this to replace my Odroid Go Advance after the shoulder buttons broke. Replaced the SDcard image with a Batocera build with my own images. However on the short time I was using the provided build it was ok. Buttons are solid and responsive and the unit feels well built. Battery has a good longevity and lasts a good few hours. The mechanical volume control although primitive allows for volume change mid game so not all bad. Runs up to 16 bit systems flawlessly. PS1 emulation is solid. However DC or N64 can be a little flakey on some titles. Good size that fits in your pocket.

Great little product easy to find other firmware online with lots of support. Plays every game ive tried so far well recommended.

Great retro console, plays most emulated games up to N64. Plays PS1 games great too. Build quality is excellent and so is battery life. Shoved a large 128gb SD card in and used some custom firmware and it's brilliant. Most rooms have worked, wifi dongle was a bit glitchy, took a few attempts to work but at the moment this is the best solution for hand held emulation at this price point.
