TOAST - Real Wood, Self-Adhesive Cover for Microsoft Surface Pro 4 - Ebony

I have gotten a number of complements on this cover for the surface pro 4. The kit fits the computer/tablet perfectly, offering scuff and scratch protection without bulk. I do not harbor any illusions that this is a cover for protection against drops though. While it is better than the bare computer, I wouldn't go throwing or dropping the expensive SP4 regardless.The wood brings a real warmth to otherwise sterile computing devices. This cover is the PERFECT complement to the SP4 Alcantara type cover Microsoft released. I highly recommend both of these products together, its a style and material combination I have not seen an equal to. I will readily admit I am an MS fan and the option with these devices for alternative materials brings a welcome warmth and feel to my connected life. I have the lumia 950 as well with the leather phone back from mozo. The leather has aged well, darkening with time. I am interested to see if any patina will develop with the walnut of this cover.Pictures are on a stained maple table top with and without flash. Gives you an idea of the wood's color.

This is beautiful, elegant and by far one of the classiest skins on the market for the Surface Pro. The company is also good about donating some of the proceeds to charity as well.The ebony is made from pressed wood fibers stained to look like ebony and is NOT real ebony (if I had of known this, I would have ordered walnut). The walnut and other woods are made from sustainably harvested sources and manufactured in the USA (Oregon). I will admit that it was good enough to fool me - and I work with wood daily, still I really wish the order page would have said this clearly up front. This is the reason for the four star review. Feels like real ebony, has correct grain pattern, warmth and texture. I do not know if it has the hardness of ebony. It seems at least as hard as black walnut. Because it is an engineered product, you will not have the knots and grain irregularities you would find in natural wood. To be clear though it is not a printed sticker like most the products that you see when you type wood skin - it is made from real wood, just in the cases of ebony wood fibers and looks and feels like a real veneer.This is a skin. It will protect your Surface Pro from scratches but not drops. The cut of the skin is very accurate and matches perfectly.Applies as easily as a screen protector (little tricky, but not beyond the average person). Seems secure too.I would definitely order this product again, just in walnut.

I love this! It was a pretty easy application - took me about 10 minutes.You can still bend the kick stand all the way back with this skin on. It does not affect (effect?) the use of my keyboard cover or my mouse USB thing.I would recommend getting a sleeve to keep your tablet in if you're going to use this.I put my tablet in my book bag and ended up with colored pencil all over it, form pencil shavings at the bottom of the bag.

Looks great! You do have to be careful with application like another review said. Took about 10 minutes to put it all on. I would advise to be careful that you don't cover up the vents on the sides. Good news is that the pen sites still stick to the sides. The adhesive is very strong so do be careful with application. Once it is on its on.End result is that my computer looks cool and unique.

Laser cut to precision, nice and thick pieces (not just stickers like some others). No issues around corners - this is quality. Doesn't add any extra noticeable weight. No problems whatsoever, have had it for more than 3 months now and still intact, no scratches. Perfect.

Product is very nice, it looks good and even feels like wood. The only issue i had was when holding the device like a tablet, he glue will warm up and get on your hands from the side pieces.

Have had several comments on how good looking this skin is.

This back cover is more than what I expected! Instructions are easy to follow, and installation is no sweat! I'm very happy with the result. Perfect fit and cut for the surface pro 4. I didn't know the side stickers are included, and when I put them all, I'm quite happy that the ports are still easily accessible. Vents are not hindered. Overall, a good back and side protector. And the wood look is such an eye candy for me :)
