A comprehensive guide to the 150 mile trail known as the London LOOP.
The best part of the guide is the inclusion of numerous large-scale walking maps (1:20,000), which are particularly useful to those hikers who are less confident using Ordnance Survey maps. A compact and well-illustrated guide which is warmly recommended.

tried and trusted Trailblazer
We love Trailblazer guides. It feels like you're walking with the author by your side. We found the maps really helpful - such detail can't be found anywhere else. Would highly recommend!

No Route Instructions/Unsuitable for Navigation
We have walked about half of the London Loop and have until now used Colin Saunders' excellent 'London Loop' guide (purple fronted). Noticing that there was this new guide (published 2021) we purchased it and were shocked to find that there are no instructions, directions, detailed maps - nothing of any navigational use at all. This is shocking for a book that claims to include walking maps and a route guide and is genuinely dangerous especially in the sections of the Loop which are not well signposted/are particularly rural. This book is fine as a companion guide, as it chooses to focus on cafes, wildlife and other interesting 'nice to have' aspects of the loop - but you should definitely not rely on this guide on its own. The hand drawn maps look nice but practically are not valuable especially in the rural areas. The London Loop guide by Colin Saunders is the essential book to own for this walk.

Generally good
There were some confusing instructions. I wouldn’t use it without an OS map.
