This is my family's experience and NOT a paid review. I live with my aged parents and young kids. All our lives we had used byadagi chilli. But my prents and kids used to have stomach related problems even if the spicyness was bit over... Just out of curiosity I ordered this mathania variety and now it has completely replaced all other red chillies in our kitchen permanently. I also ordered mathania chilli from other sources but the quality was no match to what Shirish supplies. Advantage: Good spice quotient. Unlike Byadagi, you will feel the heat in ur moth and tongue, allowing you to be more adventurous with the chillies. But absolutely no stomach upset or burning while off loading later 😅 if used in right proportion. Downside, may need more chillies to bring out the spiciness and red color, significantly more expensive and may not be locally or readily available ! My mom who is in her 70's is so happy that she can again enjoy spicy preparations... Kids are also less afraid to eat spicy food. Really feel lucky to have found this amazing chilli variety and Shirish Masala on Amazon

It's quite Expensive than the other brands whole Mathania Chillies, but still Okay to use, in case we are adamant on using the Mathania only. It's very difficult to identify the Pure Mathania with normal chillies with looks, colour & size> Only the taste can verify & confirm it. It's ok to use

I've never tried another brand for Mathania. it's my 3rd purchase. satisfied with the color and aroma it gives to the curry. however my fav is simple n humble Lehsun ka chatni with mathania... 5***** without a doubt

I had only heard the name of Mathaniya chilli till now. But when I used it, I realized that it has a very good flavour and it's not spicy.

Mathania mirch is supposedly milder and very bright in colour. The one I received was quite spicy indicating not true Mathania.

Quantity and quality both are top notch. Will definitely buy again. It enhances the taste when used in cooking Indian dishes.

Good item .I got this in with moisture content . Some expensive but rare product.

I like the Mathania's Lal Mirch for its unique bloody red coloured and a sweet flavoured. I used in preparation of LAL MASS, a rajasthani dish.
