This smoke alarm comes with everything need to mount on your ceiling or wall. Very easy to install. You separate bottom ring from top and mount it with the screws that are provided. Ankers are included to make mounting more secure. Once the bottom ring is mounted you take top and match notches to ring and twist to secure. Press the button to test. Very loud when tested. Do not forget to write the date you put it up on the sticker. This will help you keep track on the battery life. It does not look cheaply made. It is of good quality.

Work as expected, easy to install. The kill button is slightly recessed so is hard to hit with a stick during a false alarm (when placed on the ceiling). Added a sticky rubber cabinet damper button to it so as to easily press it with a stick from below.

This Smoke Detector is very durable and detects smoke when there is an issue. I have burned bread several times in my toaster oven and each time that there is a hint of smoke, this detector will start sounding the alarm and is very loud so that you know that there is an issue. I love the fact that it has a 10 Year Battery and after that you buy another one. Changing batteries every 6 months and trying to remember to change the batteries every 6 months was a hassle and it seemed to alert me to the fact that the batteries need changing in the middle of the night while in a nice deep sleep…. That is a thing of the past now with this 10 Year Battery Smoke Detector. I live in a 900 square foot garden apartment and I have it positioned in the very middle. I do pray that I will never hear the alarm going off as I know there will be a legitimate problem. This is a must buy!

It was easy to install and its best feature it's that can be turn off if it gets activated for a non threatening situation like a smoke for a burn toast!

Good device for the price.

One of my recently purchased O2 sensor units went bad and began malfunctioning. I decided to replace it with a regular smoke detector. It works very well. I was boiling out a skillet on the stove and forgot about it. When it Bagan smokinfmg, my trusty new smoke detector began screeching and I immediately took action. Oh yeah, these are very loud, and sensitive enough to give you a head start before a fire can get out of control. I would strongly advise installing fire extinguishers at key locations throughout your home also. You can get great deals on them here at Amazon. Peace of mind and home safety should not depend on what you decide you want to spend your money on. With all these things, I also own a watchdog and a couple of guns.
