... record racks in the seventies when I did not enjoy "country music"
I remember seeing Prine's fourth album in the record racks in the seventies when I did not enjoy "country music". Four decades later I discovered what I'd been missing all these years. A masterful story teller in his song writing. I don't understand poetry well and John's "poetry" is sophisticatedly* straight forward. This is a two CD set of John's first four albums. I'll take that. Less room, more music.Masterful, simply masterful.* Not a word.

GET IT BEFORE IT'S GONE FOREVER, BECAUSE THERE WILL BE NO MORE
This set is the only way to get remastered versions of the first four JP albums. The Australian company that issued it, Raven Records, is now defunct, and there will be no more pressings. If you value the best audio versions of these classic JP tracks, bite the bullet and buy one NOW, because th-th-th-THAT'S ALL FOLKS!

Excellent
Four albums in one. No lyrics but you probably know all these songs anyway.

Must-have for Prine fans!
This is a fantastic collection of John Prine's first four albums. Prine has built his career around telling the stories of men and women everywhere, often with humor and a poetic prowess like no other. Regarded by many as a folk singer's folk singer, Prine is a gifted singer-songwriter who has a song for everyone and everything. Very happy with this purchase. Two CD's of pure Prine!

Finest songwriter of recent times.
Finest American songsmith of recent era. Manages to distil fascinating insight into so-called normal, even banal, day to day experiences. Unique talent deserving of wider recognition.

Bella ristampa
