I have mild lymphedema do my feet an ankle are permanently swollen. When I developed plantar fasciitis I need a compression garment specifically for the instep of my foot. I was pleasantly surprised that this sock git my ankle and provided pain relief for my plantar fasciitis. Please note the opening at the ankle ISN’T VERY WIDE, my lymphedema is mild and I’m a petite woman.
