Kubb is a great game for people of ALL Ages. Well, you do need to be able to toss a stick, but almost anyone can enjoy the game. This set is regulation size so you can practice for tournaments too! Regulation size playing field is 13 x 26 feet - BUT you can play this in smaller areas too. We keep ours handy for backyard, beach, camping trips, park - even in the snow! It can be played from a wheelchair or walker too. Rules are easy to follow - or create your own. Kubb originated in the Viking Age - over 1,500 years ago it was played with bones. But modern times calls for wood instead (luckily) Check out some of the International Tournaments to see what fun it is. Youtube has some great ones. Perhaps you could start a local tournament? this yard game surprised my family, who were skeptical at first. there is some question about how much yard you actually need to play it properly. the instructions are simple, and you can add variations as you please for fun (e.g. if you set up big and you’re drinking, the game can last hours because it demands coordination and a bit of strategy). set up small, and the games will last ten or fifteen minutes. the wooden pieces are very well made, and over time they’ll get scuffs and dings which just makes them cooler (there’s a very satisfying sound when one piece strikes another).
