It was unfortunate that the other buyer had a bad experience with this product. I almost hesitated to buy it because of her review. But I took a chance cuz i liked the way it looked. I LOVE this water carafe. It did not have the weird odor (lid) that the other buyer experienced. It's beautiful, sturdy and just heavy enough and although it arrived without the lid, as soon as i contacted the company, they sent the lid within a few days. Excellent customer service.

I received the grand cru water carafe and lid as a gift. While they have a very lovely design, the lids for this carafe unfortunately have a strong chemical/plastic odor that ruins the flavor of any water or beverage that you might put in the carafe.I contacted the company, which was a bit of a challenge as they are in Denmark, and they eventually provided me with a replacement lid. Once again, I am disappointed to report that the new lid has the same problem.If you are not planning on using a lid for this carafe, please feel free to disregard this review.
