Excellent audio quality but absolutely terrible reception.
First the good. Excellent audio quality. Basically wired quality with a decent pair of headphones. Easy to pair. Absolutely no hiss when nothing is playing(this is a major problem with other bluetooth receivers). Can output ear busting volume.Unfortunately this is where we get to the terrible part. It has absolutely terrible reception. It has a 10 feet reception if there is absolutely nothing blocking line of sight. If there is something blocking such as your torso, it won't work past 2 feet. If I have the phone in a backpack while the receiver is clipped on the shirt less than 2 feet away, the device becomes useless. Will disconnect within 30 seconds after skipping during all that time. This is unacceptable for a WIRELESS receiver. If the company ever releases a second version fixing the reception, I'll buy it in a heart beat for twice the price because the audio quality is really excellent.

Works well enough and does not degrade the quality of the music. However range and mic quality could be an issue.
Works well enough and does not degrade the quality of the music.I find the convenience and ability to use my favorite pair of Grado Labs cans a major reason for owning this.Battery life is good as well easily reaching the advertised use times. The only areas of concern are with the microphone quality and range.I have been told many times that I am very faint when I use this for conference calls at work (Skype and Bluejeans based) forcing me to switch to something else. Also the range is very short. On the order of just over 3 meters (line of sight) before dropouts occur.Given the issues with the mic quality and short range I think this may be slightly overpriced at what I paid.In summary if you will not be far from the audio source and have a good set of corded headphones you want to use for listening only, then this is worth a look.

So that was a nice surprise. the clip on the back allows me ...
bought this for lifting weights and cardio machines. I got this so I didn't have to put my giant smartphone in a silly arm band and run or lift weights with it. Also because I was getting sick of the same 50 songs on an ipod shuffle or other small mp3 player and constantly swapping them out on the computer. Now I can just set my phone next to me or leave it in my backpack or gym bag and still listen to music. turns any set of headphones into bluetooth headphones. It actually seems more well constructed than the photos on here. So that was a nice surprise. the clip on the back allows me to clip it to my shirt while exercising. I will have to see how it stands up to sweat over time, although I might permanently wrap it in plastic to help prolong it (my other mp3 players have all died of moisture)simple operation is a plus. paired it up instantly. I am able to use both this device AND a bluetooth heartrate monitor on my phone at the same time.I can walk about 20feet away across an open room before the connection is noticeably affected. for the most part i keep the phone right next to me though.cons - no volume control on the unit. only play/pause and skip forwards/back. not a big deal for me since my phone is right next to me anyway. audio kinda skips/cuts out every now and then due to the bluetooth losing data. Not sure why this is, it happens even when I am right next to it. my phone pairs flawlessly to other BT devices though for audio. either way, its kind of annoying but not a dealbreaker. connection doesnt drop it just sounds like a CD skipping for a second and then its back to normal.I'd pay more for a version that didn't skip sound but for $30 this is pretty decent and solves many problems. other similar devices do not have the shirt clip.

smart phones and such
I bought this so I can use my non Bluetooth headphones or earphones with my Ipod, smart phones and such. It is very small and has a metal clip so I can clip it to my shirt pocket or even collar and forgot about it. Works very well for what I intended.Range is good, I can get 25, 30 feet away from source with no drop out. However if you have solid objects in the way then you will get drop outs. But that's the limitation of the Bluetooth not the product's fault. It is rated for 6 hours of music but in real life testing I've got a little over 4 hours of music, so good not great. But I kind of expected that the battery life will be shorter than lab tests. When making calls it uses microphone on your earphone or headphone if there is microphone on them if not then there is a microphone on the unit itself. Call quality is very good if your earphone has microphone, have not tried the built in microphone yet. First time making a call I didn't tell the other person I am using the Bluetooth and they didn't even know until I told them.Sound quality is also very good when listening to music. I can not notice any sound quality difference personally if your songs are ripped in good quality to begin with. So overall very happy with purchase. Hope the longevity is good. Will update if anything else happens.

Only for phone calls
Cuts off too many times while listening to music. I used it with a Bluetooth 4.0 cell phone, but the connection was so unreliable that I rather returned it. I bought an Avantree device instead and that one works fine. The only thing this device is good for is to make phone calls.

Great for the money
Works great there a a few that's that would make it even better first a working battery meter on iPhone. Second there is some weird stuff that happens when u first start it.But over all I think I got easily 6 hours of usage off of the power it came with just charged it for the first time yesterday. Sounds great.
