Very entertaining book. Nice pictures with credible information. A good book to read when you do not want to put too much mental effort.

This excellent introduction to Big Historymust be the starting point for anyone interested in the Big History (i.e. in everythingthat happened in the 13.8 billion years since the Big Bang).It is published in the format of a "coffee table book". DK publishing housetakes care for the lavish illustration of the book and Professor David Christian of Macquarie Universityfor the scientific accuracy of its contents.For those interested in Big History this is the place to start!(And if you want to delve deeper continue with David Christian's equallyexcellent textbook "Big History: Between Nothing and Everything")

I read and enjoyed very much "Origin Story". To get the most of it I was about to read it again taking down some notes and drawing some diagrams when I discovered this book. All the work is already done: didactical pictures, comparative timelines, diagrams, etc. I guess it is dedicated to a younger audience (even if the content is all but trivial) so I consider it complementary to the former book. I am very satisfied.
