Not water proof
This item is not waterproof but, helps keeps your key fob dry and clean also protects buttons from being pressed accidentally. It's really easy to install and looks good

Keeps hard key from opening in my pocket
I was having an issue with the hard key button being pressed in my pocket and the retractable key opening up and stabbing me. This has helped prevent that from happening by making accidental button pushes more difficult. Looks good and doesn’t add too much bulk to a key that is already grossly oversized from the factory.
