Gibson Practice Chanter Reeds (2) and Reed Tube

Very good reeds. I had two coming with my Gibson practice chanter and I was very happy with the clear crisp sound. I gave one to my friend who uses a Dunbar African black wood chanter and they sound excellent on that one also, so I ordered two more for spares.Very fast delivery

Gibson reeds used to be a great product, but it appears they are being made differently now. I’ve purchased half a dozen from several suppliers and they are decidedly poorly made now. My fellow pipers have had the same experience and impression. It’s unfortunate they had to change a good thing and make something that is rather unsatisfactory. Of six recently purchased Gibson reeds, none is usable. I’ve gone back to my older Gibson reeds and am trying to make do with those. These were a waste of money!

Works well, no real complaints a lil touchy about locking up if to much pressure blown ...but not a real problem

Good reeds from an established reedmaker. But they're way too strong and need some rubber bands to loosen them up a bit.

I purchased these as a replacement for the original reed which I somehow lost to my canter. I especially liked the fact that these came two to a package and included a tube in which to keep them. They were very well made and worked well with my canter.

These are probably the best practice chanter reeds I've come across in 40 years. If they're a bit too strong, put a small rubber bridle on them. The quality is very consistent. If 2 or more people are practicing together, make sure you have PCs of the same make and model.

well made reeds. I of course got the wrong ones.... But very well made.

These work in my chanter where the other 50 I bought from every vendor I could find were disappointing.
