EVIL ENERGY 10AN 90 Degree Push Lock Hose Fitting End Black 2PCS

These are NOT equivalent to Russell's Twist Lok fittings, read below.
I want to write this review to save someone the mistake I made.First of all I want to say these fittings work as advertised, if you read the directions. These are intended to have hose clamps to secure your lines to these clamps. And for the price they do there job if you use hose clamps.I mistakenly bought these thinking they were equal to Russell's Twist Lok system for -10AN fittings. They are not. An oil line seperated from my oil cooler a few weeks after install because I did not know you needed to run hose clamps, as Russell fittings do not require clamps. If you see the photos I attached, you can clearly see the difference between the push lock (Amazon) and twist lok (Russell) fittings.

Reduced diameter compared to higher quality fittings
Good because they're cheap. The ones I received had a slightly marred finish on the inside. I also measured the inside diameter of these to be 2mm smaller than they should be, which is a roughly 15% reduction in diameter. As a result, flow will be reduced compared to higher quality fittings, so keep that in mind.

Low quality, but a low price to match it
Could not get a good picture to show but on the outside curve of the 90 the material shrunk and distorted (maybe microfractures) from being bent around. You wont see that in a quality piece like Earl's fittings. But the same fitting in Earl's is about three times as much.I am only using this for vapor, so there is no pressure on it. I would not trust these fittings with any pressure. But for the price, I would buy again for use in a vapor application such as crankcase ventilation.

DO NOT USE AS PUSHLOCK FITTING
I have had genuine Aeroquip hose and fittings for my oil filter relocation for years. Sheer pushlock. No fittings. has handled 60-70 psi peaks without ever dripping a single drop. These fittings... do not do that. I ended up using PowerGrip fittings on them after they blew off on my engine warm-up test... At least i wasn't driving anywhere and was able to shut off the engine before it spit out all 6 quarts on my floor. After the heat shrink PowerGrip fittings, and a few hours idling and pulling to test that they wouldn't come off again, they are fine.Save yourself the hassle if you want REAL pushlock and stay away from these.

18mm hex led to important questions
Installing this fitting to find that it has a non-industry standard 18mm hex, as opposed to the regular 11/16" hex of the common -6 AN hose ends, raised some questions. Is this part as good as a similar product from Aeroquip or Earls? These questions led me to the customer reviews here on Amazon. One reviewer stated that the hose simply popped off at about 70psi. Scary.Since I am using these hose ends for fuel delivery, having one fail is not something I am willing to gamble with. I will now be ordering brand name hose ends and making new hoses.I wish Amazon would vet their suppliers a tad more before they offer their products for sale.

Leaks
Leaks .no matter how tight I got it with steel wrenches I leaks when I spray air on it .several this brand leaks but the 90 deg one is the worse.not enough to steady drip.but it mists a good amount after shooting air one it.thats the scary part cause you don't know it's leaking and just takes a spark.so lesson learned.i have never had a problem with aeroquip fittings on several builds .I just went cheap since it was close to stock this time.not impressed

10/10
Exactly what I needed, seals perfectly, quility material. 10/10 would buy again for what I needed it for, unless I found one that had a smaller outlet Used on Honda d16, did pcv breather box delete with block adapter, attached this fitting to block adapter and attached hose to oil catch can.

Cheap
They feel a little cheap, I used them for my turbo return line, but they are already leaking at the swivel portion. I’d say for a breather set up or something it crucial they will work ok for you. Don’t use these for anything important

an 8 90 barb fitting
as described quality seems to be good the barb ends are a bit rounded versus the areoquip that I have, thus the hold on the hose may be not as good but they fit well regardless.
