Take Off! Game

We have had this game for over 20 years & my family loves it. It definately helps with Geography. Recently we bought a gently used game to replace the worn dice & broken airplanes. What we found was almost a completely different game. Map was smaller, and colors, especially the yellow was harder to see. Routes we had been used to playing had been changed, some deleted others added. On the new map some places like Alma Ata had their spelling changed ie: Almaty. We even found a card for Bishkek and the city wasn't on the new map, and these were the newer cards we were using. Our original box said 1987/1994 edition. The new box said 1987/1997 edition and yet the instructions and cards were printed in 2001. It was definately challenging to 'relearn' the map, note the flag changes and how many more of them there were. Even with the changes we still had a truly fun evening of play.

Great nostalgic game! I can't believe that we were able to find it! My husband grew up playing this game, and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find a new copy for us when the last copy was ruined. It is very durable, very cute, and easy to play for all ages!

Description sounded really cool. My kids did not like playing it. Said it was too complicated moving the airplanes around, cheaply made. It was just okay.

This game was a huge disappointment. I gave it to my daughter for Christmas because she enjoys games and LOVES to travel. It is too tedious to play - and the board is visually overwhelming.

What a great way to learn geography with a game that can be modified as the kids grow but still appropriate for my 6 year old grandson.

Great game. Fun and educational. It can be played on different levels with kids of different ages and knowledge. This game can be used as a stand alone learning tool or better, combine it with separate geography lessons.

Game arrived on time in perfect condition. Met all expectations.It's fun to play. All the world is at your feet. A great way to learn world geography with a little competition thrown in.

We had this game when our children were young and played it often. Now my daughter is grown and asked for Take Off! for Christmas. It was a struggle to find! Thanks for making it available. She was thrilled.
