Very useful during post-op recovery
This has been one of the most useful items for patient recovery following breast surgery, when the patient is commonly discharged from the hospital with multiple drains from the surgery site(s). The drains are not removed for a week or so, and this shower belt is a useful way to discreetly carry the drains under clothing as one gradually assumes one's usual activities. Although the drains have plastic clips that can be clipped to clothing, the clips seem to slip off thinner materials resulting in the drains dangling below one's robe, tunic or big shirt, and tugging on the wound. The shower belt is also great for carrying the drains during showering, but then the wet material would need to dry off before being used under daytime clothing, unless you have two belts. This seemed to be a relatively expensive for what it is, but the adjustable elastic belt and nylon pockets are made of high quality materials, and the belt is functional and well made, so I am satisfied. However, I would have bought two of these belts if the price were a bit lower.

Perfect for Mastectomy Patients
I just had a mastectomy surgery two days ago and I am so glad I had purchased this drain belt ahead of time. It is a life saver but the only problem I have is the clip for closing. It felt like it might come off easily. So I used a safety (in the picture). Other than that, this is perfect to put the drain. I started using it when I left the hospital. I sleep wearing the belt so it's in its place. It's one less problem to worry about while recovering. There were other styles of drain belt but this was my favorite. I have a wild imagination about if something pulls the drain and whole tube will come off and it would painful. So it's important to me that the belt isn't flimsy and to do what it's suppose to do. It's not that pretty but it works wonderfully. I love this little thing how it helps me. Yes, I can just use a safety pin and pin on my shirt but I'm afraid if I forget it's pinned on my shirt and if I change and end pulling the tube by accident. Good luck to anyone going through this. It's tough but hang in there!

A must have!
This item is fantastic and totally eliminates the need for any specialty shirt or robe. The belt is adjustable and fits under your clothing around the waist. The pouch holder allows you to wear any of your loose button down clothing. (my sister had a single mastectomy even managed over the head tops that were loose fitting). The pouch holder is almost a necessity for showering while the drains are still in. The belt and the pouches dry quickly but having two sets would make after shower even easier!

Not thin person
Good if you are NOT a size 00, 0, 2, or size 25, 26, 27 waist, then this may work for you. My wife is thin so this did not fit her even after adjusting the belt.

Best product to handle horrible drains!!!!!
I had a mastectomy with immediate reconstruction due to BRCA2. This shower belt was a lifesaver. I actually didn't use it in the shower. I used it all day long so that I wouldn't have to worry about carrying my drains. It was super light and fit my two drains (I believe it can fit up to 4 drains total) without issue. I even slept with it because without it, I was worried my drains would get smushed or open when I shifted in bed. Without this belt, the annoyances of drains would have been so much worse! I don't know how people function on a daily basis without something like this to hold the drains. Best product ever. Surgeons should be giving these out as a post-op need! The belt is adjustable and I did add a safety pin so that it wouldn't loosen on its own. But that was just a minor change I made to it to fit my needs better. I would recommend this to anyone that has post-op drains. My mom had the same procedure a few weeks before me and she used this as well and she too loved it.

helpful for any surgery with drain tubes or bulbs.
So helpful! I wish I had gotten this for the 1st surgery. Holds those darn drain bulbs for you. I wore this literally 24/7 for a week after my second surgery and then for two weeks after my mastectomy. So helpful. Much better than tape or safety pins like the hospital gives you. Then you can wear it to hold gardening tools, art supplies, photo equipment, breathing is heart monitor etc. Never tfrow it away!

Enough space for more drains
I was a bit skeptical at first but two days prior to my surgery I went for it and purchased it, you will get your money's worth ... I have been wearing it everyday since my surgery, it helped so much when I showered to keep drains in place(I put them in the dryer for a quick minute to dry them and they were fine), to use the restroom!!! Big help... if you're having a mommy makeover or any surgery that requires having drains... do it, you won't regret it. It's adjustable and the closure type is easy to open and close

Best 20 bucks spent
This pouch came in handy. I didn't have to worry about my drains after my double mastectomy, easy to wear and never got in the way. Very convenient to have I even showered with it. It's great especially for the price. No need to spend extra money on something else.
