Wow! This iron cleaner did a fantastic job. It did better than expected. Don’t expect a good cleaning with just a couple of runs. Keep at it with a very hot, steamless setting and rub the iron on the towel on the edge of the ironing board for maximum pressure. Squeeze some cleaner and rub the iron over the edge on the towel. Keep doing this. It really cleans!

Stains on the surface of my steel iron comes off easily. It builds well on a piece of rag and it does not create a mess. It removes stains once the iron reaches a high heat level and is applied on the surface of the rag. It gives the customer great value for the money spent. It is not too big; it comes in a good size. It does not take too long to remove stains.

It removes any scorch stains.

It’s not the easiest way to clean your iron.

Ironing suddenly taking a long time? Making you pull your hair out? It probably needs cleaned, and this product will do it in just a few seconds. Full disclosure: I love ironing. There’s something soothing about it. I had been happily ironing every week since Christmas when suddenly my iron would not slide across any of my husbands shirts. I mean it refused to glide no matter what kind of material I put under it! So I ordered this iron cleaner, after googling what could be wrong. Google — and the back of the package this iron cleaner comes in — said it’s a build up of fabric softener and starch. Since I don’t plan to stop using either one, I’m glad that there’s plenty of product in the tube!

I do not know if the average user of ironing or pressing clothes needs this cleaner but if you sew and work with sticky fusibles it is an absolute must. I just spread some on a towel or scrap fabric and iron away making sure to hit all areas of the iron, especially the edges - just tilt the iron a little bit. It will come out clean and shiny and very slick. No more catching or dragging when you iron.

It works great. I use a soft white terry cloth and am careful not to touch the iron.

Amazing product, cleaned my iron with tough burnt out fabric sticking on the plate. But do it outside, you have to heat the iron and wipe with it. This causes smoke that triggers the smoke alarm.
