Here's the promblem with Amazon reviews these days IMHO.It seems most people either receive the products for free or a substantial discount to review. Therefore it feels like a lot of the reviews are skewed. Maybe it's just me, but the reviews have definitely changed. Back in the day I always went to Amazon first for reviews before doing anything. Now I am very skeptical when it comes to Amazon reviews. Now about this hose. The brass fittings are solid and the hose was really compact and looks nice. I uncoiled it stretched it out turned it on and it worked great the first time. The hose stores away nicely and takes up very little room. I was surprised at how small this 75 ft hose was when not filled with water.I went back out to use it the next day, turned it on and the water start shooting out of the middle of the hose. I am returning it and not sure if I'm going to have it replaced or order something else. I love the concept of these compact hoses I just need to find one that works. The sprayer handle is also very cheesy and cheaply made. I really wanted to like this hose I just wish it would work properly and was better built.

In spring '16 I went looking for a collapsible hose. Over the last few years I've bought a number of these only to have them burst on me after a few uses, so I did not buy any the last 3 years. Last May I went searching again for these hoses, relying mostly on recommendations of fellow Amazonauts. All the comments, however, were posted this spring; hardly any time for anyone to judge the reliability of the product. I purchased this particular hose because of its high rating and number of comments. When I got it I put it through its pace -- even driving over it twice by mistake -- and was so impressed with its sturdiness and durability that I bought a second hose within a month. Both hoses performed well, but the second one developed a small leak around the brass fitting with the turn-off valve, nothing major but could be annoying as you can get your legs wet if you do not pay attention.I first went to my in-box and answered one of the many oh-so-sollicitous emails sent to me by ManyGreen, the manufacturer, asking what I should do. Not hearing back from them for several days, I went to Amazon and clicked on Product Warranty, to be told that I should visit the manufacturer's website which did not show up on a Google search!

Hose came apart on the inside (center) and was leaking a lot so as not to be usable. Because it was over a month since I purchased it, Amazon Only issued a partial refund. I stated that I do not use a hose on a daily basis because there are days where it rains etc. therefore I did not realize it was defective until one day when I turned it on. The ends were in fact solid and made of copper but the inside tubing was obviously weak. I ended up going to lowe's and purchasing one for a fraction of the price. At least with lowe's if it turns out defective I know they will refund me the full price for a defective item. Very disappointed with amazon's recent return policy as it obviously does not protect the consumer even when a product is defective such as this high priced hose.

It's still early, but our new hose seems to work as described. Its very light weight when empty, which I love (easy to get it to where it is needed before the water is turned on). Also, it shrinks/crinkles up, occupying very little space. The material from which it is made appears to be durable, so I'm optimistic that it lasts us a good, long while.

I bought this for my 90 year old father so he wouldn't have to wrestle with a traditional hose when watering his flowers and plants. It does the trick for ease in watering. Seems like it took a long while for expandable water hoses to be invented, but this one sure does the trick. I like that you can adjust the flow without attaching a watering wand onto the hose. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one again.

I don't even want to give this one star, but it makes me do it! This is the SECOND hose, the first one broke within about 2 weeks. Just exploded. The replacement lasted all last summer, and I was VERY careful with it. I drained it, and kept it carefully stored over the winter in an enclosed plastic bin. Took it out, used it for about 5 minutes and this one exploded too.The concept is absolutely wonderful! Love the brass fittings, but cannot believe how flimsy they are made on the inside. Anyone have a more sturdy collapsible hose that they can rely on?Don't buy this.

This is my second hose. Have got rid of all my old heavy hoses, to difficult to handle. I bring it inside for the winter. During the rest of the year, when I am done using it for the job, i put it in a covered container to protect it from the damage the sun can do. So much easier that winding up the old heavy hoses.

Great water hose ... this is the second one we purchased. The fittings are strong brass with a shut-out feature. The hose is lightweight, and stores conveniently in a flower pot so we can get at it quickly. In addition, the hose nozzle has many settings and is easily changeable. We recommend this hose, nozzle, and hanger combination.
