If You Need Get, But Tiny Print is what your Sent!!!
Needed this type if book long ago. Very detailed and clear instructions. One thing. Tiny little print!!!!!!! I got 20/20 vision but I have to read this with a microscope!!!!Other than that good book. Wish they had mote info on water well pump system and water pressure tank system. Would be very handy for us folk living in the sticks on a well and septic.

Good, but the print is too tiny.
I saw this good book at someone else's house so decided to buy the updated version for my husband. Unfortunately, the updated version is smaller. So now the writing is tiny!! I don't think that my husband could easily follow it while working on a project. He would need a magnifying glass. The idea might be so that it can fit into a tool box, but a lot is lost from the older, easier to follow, version.

Good Book, print is small
The book is not the normal big size which means the print is small and difficult to read. It does have lot of clear information and the pictures are will done.

A great reference
The material in this book has helped me remodel several homes over the years so I bought a copy for my sister during her recent divorce so she could fix some simple things around the house without calling and having to coordinate schedules.

Help with the Honey-Do List
My husband and I gave this to my dad for Christmas. Now he's driving my mom a little crazy because he wants to fix EVERYTHING! It's a great book, with a lot of helpful photos. I highly recommend it, especially if you have a long "honey-do" list.

This is an updated and excellent aid to anyone involved in DIY home repair. The photos are excellent and the instructions are easy to follow. The book also contains very good explanations, and covers a wide variety of topics.

I have most of the B&D book line and this one is the best. It covers a good amount of every topic.

Helpful to new homeowners as Black and Decker is a well respected brand
Was alright overall but seemed basic knowledge to me. Lacks a deeper scope of insight to more moderate to difficultprojects. Very well written and easy to understand though.

Not for the UK!
The content of this book is difficult to judge in it's entirety. The plumbing and electrical sections are not relevant in the UK and added to other sections about 40% of the book is unusable. There does seem to be sound advice in the other sections, but I would agree with other users that the print is small.
