Works great on my TV
I got this to remove a scratch that mysteriously appeared on my plasma TV. Damn kids....I've done the treatment 3 times now, and the scratch still isn't gone. It's definitely getting better though. I figure a few more times, and it should be good to go. It's already worked to the point where I'm having trouble finding it, and can no longer see it when the TV is on.The scratch was about 5 inches long, and probably 1/2 mm deep. I'm thinking it might have been easier going if I'd started with the Novus 3, but I was scared that it would possibly cause more scratches on my screen. I also felt the same way about the Novus 2, but decided it was worth the risk. It actually polished the screen to the point it's like a mirror. So I highly recommend this for general polishing on most clear plastics, and go with the Novus 3 if you need to remove even moderate scratches. You can always polish out any dullness or scaling it causes with the Novus 2.As always, your mileage may vary. Remember, I used this on a plasma that has a thicker layer of plexiglass over the screen than most LCD's or LED's.

Novus, please define what you mean by a "fine" scratch.
It seems as though terms such as "fine" and "heavy" at least with respect to this product are somewhat arbitrary and clearly open to interpretation. I had (and regrettably still do have) what I consider to be a fairly slight linear surface abrasion on the radio or entertainment screen in my car. It is so minor that locating it requires more than a casual glance however the car being relatively new it still bothered me and I wanted it eliminated. That said, my presumption was that NOVUS 2 would have been more than adequate to eradicate it. Having followed the directions precisely and then repeating the process as recommended if necessary I can report that the scratch has indeed been mitigated but is nevertheless still in evidence. Rhetorically speaking should I have opted for NOVUS 3 ? It seems likely that my definition of "fine" clearly differs from that of the manufacturer. If you can content yourself with scratches that are less in evidence rather than completely removed then I suspect you'll not be disappointed by this product. Given the item's relatively low cost it might be worth a gamble.

Works amazing if used CORRECTLY!
There's nothing that even comes close to working as well as Novus in my experience, over the weekend I sanded and buffed the outside and inside of my 50 gallon acrylic reef tank (with livestock still in it) I used Mighty Mesh sand paper 800 grit-12,000 grit inside and outside and used Novus 1,2 and 3 on the outside of the tank. It was nothing short of a miracle! I wish I would have taken before and after pictures, if used CORRECTLY you will experience amazing results. I see people use Novus 1 by itself with 400 grit sandpaper and complain that it didn't work, well first of all for deeper scratches you should buy Novuss 1, 2 and 3, I also prefer wet/dry sandpaper. Start off with the lowest number grit you need, say you are starting with 800 grit, work the worst areas with the 800 grit, do NOT go in circles! Only go in circles when polishing. Go left to right, then up and down, never in circles. Then work up to the next grit, say 1,000 grit, go over what you did with the 800, left to right then up and down, feathering your way out a little farther than you went with the 800. Make sure you do a good job going over each grit or you will still see scratches from the previous grit! Take your time and get rid of the previous work with each grit sandpaper. I went 800, 1,000, 1,200, 1,500, 1,800, 2,000, 2,300, 2,500, 2,800, 3,000, 3,200, 3,5000, 4,000, 6,000, 8,000, 12,000 grit in that order, going slow and at first focusing on the larger more noticeable scratches then feathering out with each grit more and more, making sure to completely get rid of the previous work with each grit all the way up to 12,000. I used Novus 3 for heavier scratches with the 800- 1,500 grit, Novus 2 with 1,800 and Novus 1 at the very end twice. The entire job from start to finish took over four hours, I took several breaks and did it throughout the day. Obviously not every job will require you to do exactly as I did, but what I'm saying is if you take your time and do it correctly you will have excellent results š

For When You're About To Spend A Bundle On A New Laptop Screen
I thought the dispensing method sucked the big one. I was better off dipping my pinky into the breach. The results were quite good, but a regular rub-down on a 'refurbished' laptop couldn't possibly restore the screen to 'as-new' status. Fine. To be expected, really. I mean, as an 'Old Dog', I remember product like McGuire's and Mother's to be excellent scratch-removers. I would place this product in the same category, so if you're the adventurous type and 'Thrifty' (it sounds so much better than 'Cheap') this might be what you're looking for. Plus, the price of admission is definitely on the mark. Good luck, hope this review helps...
