The Big Book of Flip Charts
J**Z
You'll Flip
This guy pretty much covered it all. It is primarily for those who are running workshops, but you can gain tons of information if you use flipcharts for other purposes. He covers materials, creation of the charts, and presentation tips. Unfortunately the book is dated a little and his website is defunct, so he is either retired or no longer with us. Too bad, because an up-date would be great. Still, you can't go wrong using this book to help you develop flip chart skills. Read it; you'll flip.

Flip chart cool
If you're still relying on flip charts as your main presentation medium, then this is a very important book. For Powerpoint users, there's still good info in terms of how to make best use of the space available in order to transmit information. Neat thing about flip charts is that a skilled facilitator can use them in lots more interactive ways for smaller meetings than powerpoint slides tend to be, even with all that animation.

Flipping disappointing
Really dissapointed. I want to use flip charts instead of PowerPoint for part of our training programme and was after something to give me some ideas for creating captivating visuals. This book has old fashioned ideas that I don't think hit the mark in today's world of high expectations. I could have perhaps got away with presenting some of these ideas 10 years ago?

Falls too short
No real meat on this bone unless you are really brand new and really inexperienced. Even then, I fear this guidance is down the wrong path.

The Best one there is
Don't even consider any other flip chart book, they don't come close. This one has it all.. designing flip charts, arranging them, writing them, making them visually interesting. Tons of useful and helpful information. This book, together with Picture's Worth 1,000 Words: A Workbook for Visual Communications by Jean Westcott and Jennifer Hammond Landau are all you need to become an effective visual communicator, even if you can't draw anything! If you think you're just not good with flip charts, buy these two and prepare to amaze yourself with the transformation!

I would be surprised if you found anything useful in this book
If you are a training/education professional you can skip this book. There is literally nothing in it for you.If you are a professional with a higher degree in anything and have been working in any industry for any length of time, I would be surprised if you found anything useful in this book. The first part of the book gives such basic advice it is almost insulting (seriously, who is the target audience for this?). The only marginally interesting part of the book is Part 3 with examples of various ice breaker and other ideas. However, even this part is questionably useful as they are games and activities that are in all honesty quite worn out and even in their own time were .... well, a bit lame.
